shot myself in my delt with 1cc of 400mg test 5 days ago. for the past 3 days it has been hot and firm. and the pain is from the pressure of the swelling, which really isn't that prominent. I stuck in a 25g needle and nothing seemed to come out but blood. and less than .1ml of it as well. the blood appeared to be gelatinous in texture, not liquid and I think I saw a tad of yellow, but because of how little was in it, i cannot be sure.
I went ahead and shot .5 cc of the same in my thigh just to see if it was a problem with the amount or maybe I accidently shot between the muscles.
2 days later, still sore.
in the attached, i shot where the arrow is. the red is where the majority of the hardness and swelling is.
in the blue, is where my arm is all red.
I went to the pet store and bought some erythromycin and will take 200mg 3 times everyday, at least until i decide to go the the doc. since I only have access to military docs, i am worried about getting busted. if I ordered anti-biotics, it would take from 5 days to 10 weeks to get here.

Isn't erythromycin firstly prescribed for acne?

A lot of topical gels/creams contain it and are to be applied on zits.

Honestly just give it time, Alan. Massage and heat the painful spot and it will go away quickly. These reactions are really common with high BA gear... doesn't mean it's an infection.

A huge abcess is another story, but doesn't seem to be the case here.

I don't think it's a good idea to poke it again. Infection or not you up the odds of bad infection every time you stick it and damage more tissue. If the heat build up keeps on or gets worse you will have to see a Dr. Maybe civilian clinic if you can. I don't think that med is strong enough either and you could call any ER and ask to talk to a nurse without giving your name. If you get the right one they are helpfull, sometimes not so helpfull. I got an abcess on my shoulder before....I took antibiotics....the doctor told me that antibiotic wouldn't do any good on an abcess because it's incapsulated in there and the antibiotics would never get to it. He ended up draining it and he removed about 20cc's of puss from my shoulder. He was amazed that he got that much out. After my visit the abcess was completely drained and it was almost as if I never even had it.

Anyways...if it's still there after a week and it get's bigger...take a ride off base and go to the er and ask them to drain it.

By the way...you didn't give all the info on this. Did you inject with the same needle you used to draw out of the bottle or did you draw your gear out and then remove the needle and replace with a new one? Was it a new needle or did you use it for another shot first?

But the bro is right, you can leave it alone. That little bit of gelatinis stuff is probably fat and not white blood cells. Sterile abcesses or abcesses cuaused by a reaction to the solution can do this.

A 25 guage needle ain't sh*t for sticking that. If you absolutely have to drain an abcess that has formed a head that is soft and not hard. Thoroughly wash your hands and equipment with 90%isopropol alcohiol, maybe wear vinyl exam gloves rinses in alcohol then take a ziplock sandwich bag of Crushed ICE with a little water in it that has had the outside of the bag washed with isopropal alcohol and hold it against the abcess for 5 minutes. Then take one of those new mini razor knifes that have had the blade burned with match fire is stuck into the thinest part of the abcess skin head. A 1/4 inch slit is made in one movement and the contents under pressure will staart to spew out. A 1/4 inch slit will allow even chunky pus clumps out but you may have to massage the abcess to empty it as much as possible of debree. You willl then be bleeding pretty profusely so hold pressure with paper towel for 5-7 minutes before using butterfly bandage to hold to edges of incision together. Wipe gently the area with isopropal alcohol, let dry then use one of those giant telfa bandages to cover the absess. Leave it alone a couple days maybe three and if you are lucky and on antibiotics that are appropriate the abcess will go away. If not you may have to drain it again. Better always to have a doctor do this at the urgent care becuase you can just say it was B12 injections. Honestly trauma from the needle stick can cause what appears to be a red hot abcess. That is if you hit an area thats difficult to reach and torque the syringe/needle around while it is in the muscle. The advantage of the urgent care visit is you get put on the appropriate anti biotics.

Paper towels are relatively sterile in the roll so they can help greatly when alcohol is used or for holding pressure or patting dry. If it's a outer quad abcess put newspaper down under a wooden chair and then make the stick.

But if you have no insurance or no desire to admit you stick your self you can drain an abcess your self using as sterile of a technique as you can come up with. But only if it has comes to a head. Think of it like a big zit, you don't pop that zit until it has evolved to the point where in an effert to expell the infected material the head of the abcess has had it's skin thin and there is a soft center. Don't stick anything into a hard absess.

Now many docs would leave a rubber drain in and allow it to drain for a few days you won't beable to do this so you may have to drain it two or three times while the antibiotics kick in.


Doctors are better choices, but I have tended to take care of a couple quad abcesses on my own.

Don't self medicate and don't treat this your self you can do more harm than good.
Tell them it was a B-12 shot, then they can adequately treat it as an IM abcess.

It could be a sterile abcess, but still if it is a bacterial one you may not be in here in a week to tell us about it.

no flame this stuff comes up all the time and is occurs very frequently these days because of black market gear and high solvent levels.

How to prevent an abcess.
Get sterile vials, sterile syringe filters (.2 um vs .45 um if you can), Blank USP oil. Baking optional.
Dilute 50/50 mix/bake or warm/sterile filer into sterile vial.

Never get another abcess again.

Never just pop a top and shoot.

You don't know what is in the vial, many pharm grade and compounding pharms using up to 25% solvent levels which will roast your ass.

The worst gear I ever got was legally obtained from a legit compounding pharmacy many years ago in which the pharm used all USP grade obtained solvents powder and oils.
The problem? The solvent level was over 25% mostly BB and some BA.

Shit almost killed me-flushing coughing fits etc extreme solvent flu.

Never again would I pop the top and shoot straight from a vial.

Stay safe and healthy ad that's from a physiological view.

last night I woke up with severe chills and sweats. not much sleep.
I went into the docs office this morning with a 101 degree fever and said it was an insect bite.
she looked it over and said there was no abcess although the aread was pretty warm. the surrounding edema started shrinking a bit. (i used a pen to monitor the edema and lump by drawing dotted circles).
end of story for now:
Tylenol 1000mg every 6 hours
Zyrtec 10mg morning and night
benedryl 50 mg every 6 hours
ibuprofen 800mg every six hours.
no fever now, but I am tired as shit!!
I will keep this updated.
Doc said the flu like sysmptoms were in no way related to the bug bite. I am curious then if it was test flu....and should I still take my next shot tomorrow?
perhaps I should spread out the shots into 4 small ones a week. I wanted to take 600mg Test E weekly for 12 weeks. (I have plenty), but now I am scared!!

I filtered using a .45 whatman filter into 10cc vials.
Baking....how do I safely do that to a vial with a rubber top?
will it kill bacteria or just burn off some of the solvents.

While filtering is a good practice, it's not going to do much in cutting pain if the injectable has a high solvent level.
cutting pain involves diluting and or baking the oil prior to filtering.
It' doesn't damage the AAS, 15-20 minutes at 250 or so.
While I don't know by what mechanism is cuts the pain (as the solvents don't evap off) it does effectively cut pain by baking it. 1000's of testimonials over the years have proven it. Then add some USP oil and sterile filter it and you'll never use the words "flu" or "abcess" again.

Thats great information. www.qwickmeds.com while limited on their number of antibiotics will also provide almost any non-controlled med without a presription. The only reason I mention the board sponsors is that many times they are cheaper as those online websites ( particularly in the USA ) aren't providing meds without a physician face to face without gettng compensation for the risks they are taking. I don't think there is any risk at all of using them, but I do believe it is only a matter of time before they are shut down. But when one goes down another goes up. The game goes on. and I am not diclosing anything the goverment does not already know. quickmeds has been openly discussed by our state legislators. In fact thats how I became aware of them. They are legit, but again they may advertise controlled meds, but they will require your physicians approval to order them.

And no I am not advocating the draining of abcesses by ones self. But I have and might again choose to drain one myself in the manner i describe if I injected steroids. But what you don't want to be doing is poking that thing with pins that do nothing but inflame the abcess.

after nearly 24 hours since the visit. my arm is still warm to the touch. my outside delt is very firm from top to bottom. It is starting to itch now.
my thigh now has a more obvious bump went i touch it but only hurts when I squat down low.
today I am due for my next shot. since I had a reaction to just .5cc, should i reduce to .25 cc? I think i am gonna run out of places to shoot!
i will probably also run the syringe under hot water to get it to move faster.

Seriously dilute it and bake it remove the top and cover with aluminum foil. then re-filter.

1 hour and 15 minutes later, i feel nothing wrong with my thigh.
oh, and my thigh didn't start hurting until 10 minutes after inject.

i had a aweful time once with some gear.. i did what i always did.. got it (powder) from the same place as always.. only did 2% ba so nothing harsh in the way of solvents.. filtered ect.. made teste nth at 250 mgs.. i shot in the thigh.. about two hours later the thigh was painful to move and started to swell.. it lasted about 5 days.. well.. i figured i had to somehow screw up the injection so i put one cc in a syringe and this time added 1/2 cc of sterile oil to dilute it.. shot in the other thigh.. aweful pain again.. i was confused as hell.. refilterd and added 1 cc of sterile oil to one cc of gear.. and shot it in my ass 5 days later.. pain was aweful again.. each time i would also feel crappy and have body aches.. i finally gave up and pitched it.... the next batch i didi the same identical thing and it was smooth as butter.. no explanantion..
