Any cheap hotel in Manhatan??

All the cheap hotels i found are with shared bathrooms or too far.
I will be there next friday 13th to monday 16th ....any ideas?
I dont know the city.

No cheap hotels at all in Manahattan,, But you could try the Hilton in Staten Island which is 15 mins away,, they are top notch and cheaper if they have availability.

There may not be anything in Manhatten cheap, try across the river in Jersey. Secaucus, Fort Lee, someplace like that. Ten minutes away.
As far as the rude people, that's never been my impression and I worked and partied in the city for years. If anthing people there will go out of their way to help you out. Esp if you're a tourist.

Ill be in New York that w/end as well--staying in Midtown. Was looking for a few weeks and really, there has been nothing cheap. Wonder if things will go down now that the Yanks are out of it (although the Mets are still in)...
