Anybody ever take this approach to contest dieting?

I know couple dudes who could walk out onto any local stage at any given time and win the whole damn thing. Even in their off season, if they were given 3 days notice they could do the show and win, they hold that type of condition and size year round. I was thinking, rather than making these 12 wk diets such a big deal, why not try and look good all year long so this contest prep would not be such a dramatic and painful process? If you eat a pizza, do extra cardio, that sort of mentality ya know? Just get down around 7% or so and try and hold it. I dont know, seems that if your body became used to walking around at a lower bf for longer periods of time maybe it'd be physiologically easier to gain at a lower bf. Just a thought, anybody utilize an approach like this? Just go out there, dont worry about a carb load, drop, water, just go out and do the thing. I think Mike1107 would be a good example, if a guy like that walked out at any given time he'd probably house some shit

it sounds great, but its very hard to force your body to stay that lean year round....the guys you speak of are that way mainly because of genetics i suspect....

guys like this dont diet all year long

either you have it, or you dont

along with this type of guy, also comes alot of pros and cons

i wish i could go over 10% bodyfat in the off-season

i always feel like i had an unproductive off-season,

but, i continue to put on muscle, very, very slowly.....2, 3 lbs a year

lol, when i hear someone say "i put on 17 lbs last year" i always say

"no way in hell".......then i think, they are also 17%bf

i honestly stay at 7% all year long, eating whatever i want

if im competing, i simply clean it up and go to 4 to 5% in weeks
