I'm curious if there are any bodybuilders, athletes or fitness minded individuals here have McArdle's Disease? I'm highly doubting anyone here will have this as it's quite rare (1:100,000) and bodybuilding is probably the last thing they would attempt. haha Share your experiences if you are out there please!

For as long as I can remember my brother and I have always had a difficult time with sports or anything active. We fatigue very quickly, muscles burn after a few reps in the gynm or stairs climbed, muscle cramps galore and we get so mofo'ing sore it's horrible. The soreness and almost instant muscle burning...shit gets old. Try helping someone move a couch...nightmare LOL
I'm generally characterized as a lazy pussy because I can't do anything sporting. Thankfully putting on muscle is not that difficult (effort wise). So I've generally have been muscular and look athletic and strong but I'm really not. Such trickery! :action-:m That's really all the ladies are about here in So. Cal anyways.
Here are some humbling examples of my awesome powers:
1. Bowling: limit myself to a very light ball, no power throwing and 1 game...mabye 2 games if I'm feeling like a beast. Anymore and my left arm is out of commission for days. (Proud Lefty!):headbang:
My bro said he shot darts at a pub one night with his girl and his right arm was trashed the next day and by that I mean so sore it was hard to move. Geez! For that I just had to call him a total pussy.
2. Workouts:
These days I weight train about 2 days a week (3 if I'm not sore).
Workouts are about 20 - 30minutes tops. 1 exercise per muscle group, max of 3 muscle groups. Sets: 2-4 max. This is a very easy workout compared to most of ya'll but it's plenty for me and I'm always sore! blahhh
These day's Im looking to lift lighter and stay as healthy as I can. All the bodybuilding mixed with this BS disorder has taken a toll on my kidneys. They are a little banged up from dealing with all the damaged muscle tissue stuff.
Well if anyone has experience with this wonderous metabolic condition please share! I'd love to hear any stories you might have.
