Wow, this is awesome. Not only AAS sponsors but healthy meats as well? This place is gonna become a one stop shop. Love it~

Ps. Planning on making a online grocery store as well? lol, just kidding guys~ All in good fun :welcome::headbang:

I wish you were in Australia. I eat 2lbs per day of fillet. What sucks is that here it costs $45-$65/kg for the organic grass fed.

Ya man and I think importing to Australia would be pretty difficult.
A long time ago my grandfather tried to start shipping beef and beer to New Guinea. I guess the usual meat in New Guinea according to him and his friend is Water Buffalo?
He lost his ass on it.

I will definitely look into overseas options. Shipping food stuffs overseas has a lot of regulations though.

Believe it or not my mom runs a health food/grocery store in WY and sells organic produce and this very same beef there.
She is online but doesn't except online orders yet. Drop shipping would make that much easier and I am working on that as well for her. That is where I came up with the idea of offering beef here. I figured if I get the shipping squared away for the rest of her items then this just makes sense to do as well.
She is also a licensed nutritionist. Crazy where life takes you.

I'd definitely be in. I love London Broil, and grassfed ground beef for 4.75, sign me up

Where at in WY is your mom's store?

If you had a bulk deal for the ground beef only that could get the price plus shipping to be less than the local price for grass fed, then I'd be very interested in buying a large amount. Right now I'm paying between $5-6lb for burger from the store.

Otherwise, I might be interested in the variety pack.

I can share with you, the USPS won't be cost effective solution for your parcel shipments. Even with the additional surcharges, UPS/FDX would be a better fit, just based on the average ship weight.

I don't see to many who will only order 1-3 pounds for Priority to make sense. Even with their Flat Rate boxes...the thickness of the ground meat etc. might not allow for the Flat Rate carton. Shipping out of WY you'll get hit with the higher shipping zones fairly fast, just based on your location.

If you need help on the USPS side, I've got a buddy who handles the WY area for the USPS as a shipping specialist. Maybe he has some ideas that I'm not aware of, that could help you save.

I'm in the industry, so if you have questions, or need ideas, shoot me a message and we can chat.

The store is in Riverton and the ranch is out by Jeffrey City. We have some neigbors out by the ranch with the last name of Thompson but if thats you in the thumbnail your quite a bit larger then those boys lol.

I think your right about using either fedex or UPS. I was mainly using the USPS priority as an example of the type of deal I'm trying to get. I'm expecting most people would want big enough amounts to need something like those boxes from Omaha steaks or larger. I was hoping to use dry ice but it looks like we are going to have to use blue ice packs. Lots of regulations for dry ice. I would definitly be interested in hearing any ideas you have though. I'm gonna PM you asap.

Those are good prices. I'm definitely going to try to get our shipping in tight so we can stay competitve though.

i would be interested in buying 1/2 a cow for that price.

We are going to need bigger boxes, lol.
The idea from another member to ship the live beef closer to the customer then have it slaughtered closer to destination may come into play.

this sounds great bro would def be in for 30-40 pounds a month...my only options where i live is walmart and heb..both suck ass for quality meat..

I would buy the ground beef if the shipping doesn't drive the cost up too much. Probably would buy like 10-15lbs a month

Haha ya its me in my pic. I live in Evanston. So still a little drive. But I will definitely load up if I go that way.

I currently order about 20-30lbs/mo from a CA farm that ships grass fed beef. Your prices are significantly lower than anything I have found locally or online.

My only concern is quality control. It's nothing personal, but I like to know that things I put in my body meet certain standards. For this teason, may I ask whether your farm is subject to any kind of third-party inspection, government or otherwise? Would you consider posting copies of any certifications that your beef is all grass-fed and meets their standards (as well as a description of those standards) on your website?

Please don't think I mean to challenge your honesty. It is just that I had a bad experience buying raw milk from a local farm. Since then, these questions are something I ask any food purveyor, even when I shop at Whole Foods or the local farmers market.

Grass feed

I am in as well
currently ship in filets by box for me and the kids
from Capital Meats

Would be happy to support effort.

If I was living at home in the States I would definitely be interested, but shipping would be ridiculous at the moment.

I am paying 3.99 per pound for 93-7 ground organic grass fed locally. I eat 2-3 lbs a day. If you can beat that price i will be buying 60-90 lbs monthly.

I understand completely. My parents have been researching getting certificates for organic labeling. We have not gone down that route as of yet though. Grass fed labelling is far different from organic labelling. We can label as grass fed right now, but not organic as of yet. I'm sure we will be able to do it in the future though.
You have to let some real a-hole people attached to the FDA have access to all you do whenever they feel the need. It's been my experience that the FDA is no ones friend in the industry unless you can afford to pay a lobbyist.

Our meat we sell in store and that I would sell here is also packaged by a licensed meat packer.

You never know if it all pans out we might be able to work over seas stuff out in the future.

Some of you guys are getting some damn good prices. I'm not sure we could beat that to tell the truth. Maybe match it but thats a good price.

Theres enough meats being shipped around like Omaha steaks and these guys you mention that I should be able to get this done as far as shipping I mean.
Still trying to get better rates but its getting closer.

Thanks for the info. I sympathize with your predicament, and I do understand that for small farms, getting those certificates can be expensive and drive up prices.

So you are still subject to regular inspections by the FDA now, but just not certified organic, is that right? I have heard of that situation before. In fact, the butcher at my local Whole Foods (where they claim everything is organic) told me some of their ground beef comes from a farm in the same boat.

In any event, please keep me posted. I am happy to support independent farmers, and I am already having meat shipped and your prices are very competitive. It seems others can find cheaper meat on line, but I haven't found anything close that is grass-fed organic. The more information you can provide about farm operations, meat packing, shipping, etc, the better.
