anyone use unorthodox training methods while on?

i was thinking of changing up my routine, always stuck to the same 3 to 4 sets 9 to 12 exercise per BP. has anyone had sucess with different training methods? anyone like DC training or is it just hype?

I don't think you wrote that correctly; 9 different exercise movements per muscle?
 
Just to clarify: when you say three to four sets of nine to twelve exercises per bp. Are you saying that for biceps you may do anywhere from 27 to 36 total sets? And same for other bodyparts?

If so I think you would definitely need to step it up a bit. Just kidding. Please clarify if you can though. Lack of growth in my opinion is directly related to overtraining if that is the case. I used to find it hard to leave the gym. feel like I should do more - didnt do enough, etc... Ive worked out with people twice my size and when we left I went back in the gym to do more. I grew more after I stopped that mentality
 
Oh yeah, DC isnt hype. It is a good program that changes every workout. Too many of us get into the typical 4 sets of the same thing. forgetting drop sets, forced reps, rest pause....... While any good program utilizes different exercises with increasing volume or mass.
 
oh im sorry, i meant 3 to 4 exercises per muscle, 3 to 4 sets per exercises. so for smaller groups 9 total sets, 12 to 15 sets for larger twice a week except legs/quads then ham. kinnda the bread and butter of lifting although im always doing supersets and drop sets, high intensity but ive never really tried anything completely different except working with phils form of training. i was interested in DC training while im on my cruise but wasnt sure about it while im on my cycle.

lol thats definaltely true, had the same problem, probally still do altough i think i benifit while on.

I tried DC Training while Off cycle and quit after 2 weeks. It was too intense and I was really too sore to keep going. I'm gonna try again when I start my cycle this weekend.

I have heard nothing but great things about DC Training even though on paper I can't see how you can grow from it, but I'm gonna stick with it this time.

I think you already know what you need to do. Change it up with a new workout plan. I am not sure what plan phil had you on but he has many happy clients. Whether it is a variation of DC or another plan you can always design your own and post it up here for critique. I wouldnt recommend posting one given by a trainer as that is how they make their living. A change in diet and workout plan is normally enough stimulus to get the body to respond. I am not a big fan of any hyped up supplement pushed as if it were the saving grace. Always overpriced crap.
Pick a plan and stick to it for at least two months.
 
DC is bullshit. I only gained 35lbs on it.
