Anyone still use isolate/casein blends or just 100% isolate??

I have been eating whole food almost exclusively now including post workout. If I use a shake it is either a time crunch, breakfast, pre training or before bed. Never more than 1 a day. Often none. This had me wondering if the concept of protein blends like True Nutrition's Team Skip blend of 33/33/33 isolate/egg white/micellar casein would be better for me or if the difference was negligible.

I never see anyone talking about egg white or casein blends anymore and all the big name brands seem to use 100% isolate.

Anyone still use a blend or is it splitting hairs when not post workout??
 
I think it was Scott Stevenson who pointed out the commonly cited whey = fast, Casein = slow trope is actually a very minor difference in reality.

It's just been misinterpreted over the years as being this huge difference when in reality they're both way faster than a steak for example.
 
I do a 50/50 of Whey iso and Micellar Casein. Moreso for the texture and thickness I prefer. I mix it with water.

That's what I thought. I wasn't aware it was Scott though.

So yeah splitting hairs... Thanks for confirming before I drank more of that chalky stuff lol.
