anyone who uses ebay, couple question

alright heres the deal, i bought something off ebay the other day... 12/14 to be exact. i emailed him to ask about shipping prices and it took him about a day to respond. so i funded him 12/15. the stupid ass still hasnt responded to my email i left friday so i just emailed him again. i just want an ETA on shipping or something to know he is going to ship.

im really really thinking about contacting paypal, but i dont want to blow something out of proportion if he is going to ship, but this is getting rediculous, i know i would be a lot better at keeping someone informed and maybe thats why im freaking out a litle bit.

thanks mike, i was pretty forward with the last email i left. basically i said i would just contact paypal if i didnt hear anything from him.. so ill give him until tonight. after the talk with paypal there will be negative feedback left also.

how is paypal in regards to being taken on ebay?

To make a long story short...

PayPal is owned by ebay. My company looked into purchasing PayPal about 2 years aog prior to their takeover by ebay, but when we realized that about half (yes, HALF!) of all the transactions occuring over ebay were fraudulent, we walked away from the deal.

If you complain to PayPal they will tell you to contact ebay. If you contact ebay they will tell you to complain to PayPal - basically each entity disclaims responsibility, so effectively nobody is "on the hook" for the fraud.

As a matter of policy PayPal has begun a process whereby they will do a chargeback for you for one time only for a fraudulent ebay transaction. They may not seem too willing at first, but keep at it and they will do it for you.

As a last resort, call your credit card issuing bank. They too will do a one-time chargeback for fraudulent ebay transactions.

Sometime they might be away .Thursday was the 15th if anything he'll contact you this week .had the same shit happen during the holidays . Did you check his feedback ?Any situation negative? if not I wouldnt worry to much .

I have gotten a refund from paypal. I think first you need to wait 30 days, but I'd check there site. Then you file a complaint. The seller has sometime to respond. Then they decide. Basically, if they didn't ship with delivery conformation, you win...

You could threaten negitive, but I wouldn't do it yet. Still a bit early.

I wouldn't worry just yet. Give it a few days and see if he responds this week. If not then go through the steps. they are people too and have things come up just as anybody does.

alright ill hold off. i guess im just used to the good customer service i usually recieve when i order off the internet.

ill give the guy until wed. then im contacting paypal and giving him some neg. feedback. its only 187$ but still fuck that dude, he aint getting away with my money.
