I have started researching DC training style method due to the vast amount of backing from not only this forum but many others. The program from what i have seen thus far is extremely solid in its structure and i can understand why it is so popular and well used.
Another style which I began looking into a few months back was hypertrophy specific training (HST) I used the style for less than the recommended cycle of 8 weeks. For those who dont know the workouts are full body routines M,W,F with increased weights working all the way up to a specific 15,10 or 5 RM (2 weeks assigned to each rep range). That was a lame description lol sorry.
What im wondering is has anyone employed either of these or BOTH at one time or another? Im strongly leaning towards DC style but i was just wondering if anyone thought otherwise or any information and knowledge that you could share on said subject.
Sidenote: I have also started reading the EDT (escalating density training) theory. I dont ness. see the merits of this method being that his main theory for "fast reps" is the analogy placing a 10lb weight on your foot compared to dropping it on your foot from 6feet above, it will be "more painful", just as having weight moved more quickly it will cause more muscle growth. while I dont really agree with this im not a expert. Anybody know about or employ this style?
a bit long winded i apologize lol
any help as always would be greatly appreciated!
