Macdaddy,
After conversing with you yesterday about insulin I began to wonder how I could be carb tolerant but insulin resistant. I decided to try an experiment this morning after my workout. I would do 6 iu humalog IM with my usual postworkout shake of 100g whey and 50g simple sugar(kool-aid). I waited until I got home from the gym (trying something new, wanted my wife around in case something went wrong) and shot the 6 iu right into my left delt then chugged my shake. I went to shower and about 10 min later I could feel myself going hypo quickly. I drank another shake waited and then went through the morning routine. It has now been 1 1/2 since the shot I've eaten a whole meal and I still feel a little "off". I'm wondering if maybe my skin is too thick to allow an even distribution of the slin, because that was a major difference with the IM shot. Anyway, just wanted to thank you for opening up my eyes and getting me thinking. I really appreciate all the help. -D
