If it hurts and swells up after 2-3 days.. you DO NOT have an infection. An infection doesn't develop and manifest that badly within 2-3 days. It's due to a variety of factors, namely BA content, the ester of the gear, volume injected, and concentration of the gear.
Common advice online is to put heat on it and massage it in. This is the worst thing you could do.
When testosterone is injected, the ester forms a depot which, for lack of a better term in my current state of mind, "dissolves" at a certain rate. That's the only way it'll break down. It's like inserting a marble between your muscle fibers and trying to massage it.. aggravating the swelling and irritation further and pressing against nerves, etc.
And the redness.. etc... INFLAMMATION.
When have we EVER logically used heat compresses on an inflamed, swollen bodypart? ICE, people. ICE and NSAIDS. Some people get a -small- amount of relief from Icy Hot or other topical pain-relieving ointments.
And if, after several days, you suddenly get major swelling, redness, and a FEVER, then you may possibly have an abscess or cellulitis.
