Well

I have been totally out of the gym since last spring, but i have had a few workout here and there (not totally out of shape). I have started back on my dieting and my training last week and everything feels great. Just curious as to how long i should wait before hitting any gear. I'm 30yo and i have not touched any gear in about 5 years so i'm sure my body will respond well to it. Nice to see a few of you guys still around...Bigbadasian, Xcelbeyond, etc.

10 years so send me your stuff and I'll hold onto it for you so there is no temptation to use it

It's a loaded question but......................Try a good 12 weeks of solid hard core training and see how you feel. I do not know your level of experience but muscle memory is a great thing. Get your diet dialled in and then see how you are going. If you are an experienced lifter and have some cycles behind you, then you will know when it's time. I guess ther is no real rule here. But I've trained for years without being on. I only look at my supplements come contest times!

I'd say, just long enough to know that you are back on your game ... diet in check, etc ... 2-3 months?

Read your body it will tell you for sure, take a photo now of yourself, measure your bf% and then recheck yourself in 8 to 12 weeks, after that GO FOR IT and lastly it all depends on your goals as well gear is not the cure all :)~

I've been off the gym for a while myself however I have not been off gear for more than 5 yrs I would say 2 if that and I personally CANT wait to get back into gear, however this time I will do less dosage and keep my gear in a fine tune pace instead of doing it like before when I was used to do crazy dosages. More is not better and I learned that the hard way!

Wait till you peak without gear then add it (like a newb). could be 12 weeks, could be 12 months either way i think that would be the only appropriate time.

Id wait until your "newbie" gains disappear then consider the gear. Since youve been out of it for a while, youll see some very good increases in strength and size just with a solid diet and training program.

You could ride this wave for a good 6 months or more before you ever need anything. So be patient.

What gear are you thinking about taking. I think popping some D-bol tabs will get you right back in the game without going too much.

I would suggest a good 3 months of solid training and diet and then consider some chemical assisitance.

Stay clean an dial in your nutrition. You may very well be able to get back to the level you were at when you quit using gear. Muscle memory is sometimes under estimated.

This is what I was thinking too. For me, after 6 months (or even a year once), it took me 6 months clean to start hitting my all-too-familiar plateaus. Basically, when your natural progression stops. But you really can't hit this point until a few rounds or periodization and that there is what just takes time - going high volume for a few months and getting some good blood flow going and ATP storage increases and then crank up the intensity, and then rinse and repeat. Glad to see you back on the training tip!

Have a friend that is so unmotivated that he was unable to go back in the gym clean after a long lay off. He started using & had to wait a couple weeks for it to kick in before he even would enter the gym. I suggested he wait six months. lol!! Of course after his exstended cycle he quit lifting again and lost it all..

i hate people like that, i know a few people like that, they only train while on gear, then drink themselves silly and take cocaine off cycle.......waste of time and heading for an early grave!

i'd say it depends on the individual, if you have been big before from using gear and shrunk then you've probably exceeded your natural limit before therefore your muscles have 'streched' in simple terms and will soon return as stated (muscle memory).....if your prepared and experienced in planning and following a diet and workout plan then start in a few weeks, but from the sounds of it your struggling to keep in the gym for whatever reason so give it a few months, the last thing you want to do is cut a cycle short because of other commitments........:)

Man , you can always use gear, but working hard naturally for a while builds character. Give it at least a couple months imo.

im considerbley older than most of you guys.im starting back too from a long lay off.i need all the help i can get.to help with my mental and physical needs im just doing 125mgs of supp a week just to get some form of focus and energy levels back.without the supp it is very difficult to do anything.
the reason im saying this because there may be others out there who are like me. the low dose helps alot.
