Beginner Help: Basics

I'm considering inj. AAS for a 1st cycle. Is there a book I can get to mull over all the basics? Can anyone recommend anything?

I'm considering a test only cycle. I have done some oral cycles before and IGF-1, GHRH, GHRP-6. I have no experience w/IM AAS. I don't want to ask 100 questions just yet :). To spare everyone the babysitting I'd like to see if there's a book or other reference I can use to get me up to par, so-to-speak. I would really like to do GHRH/GHRP-6/AAS (test) eventually.

Is there an ester of test that would be ideal for a beginner? Is water bloat a typical side of test, regardless of ester?

I'm trying to get into summer condition. So bloat would not be ideal.

Anywho fellaz, I'm 5'7", 215lbs, ~15% bf, been lifting for 16 yrs, 31 yrs old.

Any pointers would be appreciated. Dat, if you've found this thread, I'd highly appreciate your input. OldFella I really respect you so please chime in! I know there are a lot of other great bros here and I respect your input too!

You can prevent the bloat by taking an aromatase inhibitor (AI.)

I'm a fan of letrozole, although some people think it hinders their gains. They opt for arimidex, which leaves some levels of estrogen, which is good for a number of reasons. I don't care. :p

Test E would allow you to inject only twice a week, which would simplify things, although Test prop would allow you to stop unwanted side effects faster because it leaves your system faster.
 
My thoughts:

1) Test enth or test cyp would be the best "beginners" compound as it has a more stable release due to its ester. This would also allow you to inject less often to the realm of Monday/Thurday injections.

2) You seem to be very knowledgeable with your diet and can control yourself accordingly regarding "the bloat." Many suggest that the slower releasing esters such as enth will cause the body to hold water and that the faster releasing esters such as prop and acetate will not. The above poster states to add in an AI due to this bloat being caused by increased estrogen. Well my thoughts are that 1) if your diet is spot on and you aren't pouring sodium down your throat you won't hold water in that manner 2) if you run a reasonable dose (400-500mg/week) for your first cycle your estrogen will not get out of hand (I would keep an AI on hand in case gyno starts to flare up) 3) adding more compounds such as an AI to your first cycle is unnecessary as it could just cause more problems with your lipid profiles etc. Only add them if necessary.

I got this back in 1996 and back in those days before everyone had the Internet this was the most informative book around. Maybe the author has a newer revised addition.

Thanks guys for the info. I will continue to scour the board here for info as well.

If, for example, Test-e comes in a concentration of 250mg/mL, and the cycle calls for 250mg EW, that's an injection of 1mL. That's a considerable volume compared to what what's used in GHRH/GHRP research! Something to get used to I suppose. And I read that 1-1.5", 21-23ga. is a typical range for pin sizes. That too is a huge difference from the 29-31ga slin pins. I suppose the viscosity of the oil in test is why you need such a large pin.

I was reading that certain "brands" of test come mixed in varying oils. Some are more viscous than others. Is there a type of oil that is ideal or superior to others?
 
Aromasin is a good alternative to l-dex as well

My deltoids and thig's it's best to go with 1" 25 gauge, glutes 1.5 inch and 23 gauge
