Benicar for high bp

Was prescribed this today. Doc said this was the one with least neg. side effects? If you have tried it, any pros/cons?

There is too many high blood pressure meds.

I have been taking this one for years, and it works well for me. Not one side that i can think of. I take the larger of the 2 tablet sizes, and mine doesnt have the diuretic.

Good to know. She gave me 20's and 40's, and told me to cut the 20's in half and the 40's in quaters.
Putin, no doubt! When she was describing the different bp meds. availiable she was causing mine to rise. I know of family and friends that take bp meds. and usually I hear of them having to take another med. to reverse side effects from the bp. meds. I am hoping that at these low doses, as long as this is effective, that I will not be one like that.

I've been on 20 mg. for about 3 years now with no sides to speak of. Benicar is one of a relatively new class of BP drugs called Angiotensin receptor blockers that are supposed to have fewer negative effects in total. Diovan is the other major brand name in this class. Nothing is perfect, but the feedback about these has been pretty good. Good luck!

yeah, I take the 40 mg tabs and dont have any side effects at all. It has been great. Keeps my BP down even while Im on cycle.

I take one 40mg tab of Benicar per day. No sides at all. my BP was 170/110 before and now the bottom is around 80. My doc is happy with that. I am on large dose of Test Enan,Deca and GH and it is controlling my BP......

This past Sat. mine was at 171/111 (after my sons baseball game). Next day it was 151/95. Today was the first day taking it and have not had any pulsating headaches. Apperciate all of your feed back.

I have used Altace with good success. It's an ACE inhibitor. I carry 250-260 at 5'6, and keeps me around 125-130 / 85ish..

Never had any sides other than feeling better, and Duchaine used to rave about ACE could do for lower bodfat..

I took another one in the late 90's called Zestril. It was good too. Overall, Altace is my fav.

good to hear... I was doing a little research myself and that class of drug (Angiotension blockers) seem to look pretty good for lowering the BP for us guys on the heavy doses due to its mechanism of action. Keep us posted. The only side effect I like of high BP is the sick veins but for th sake of health forget it. The Tren headaches suck.

Wow, never heard this about it lowering BF. Can you post a link to info on this? I would like to read that.

He also started a thread before about Bromelain dropping you 10 points. I have been taking it ever since he recommended it and I do see a difference, especially when on gear.

This is how it goes.

This works by populations. In Asia, 80% are lactose intolerant.

In UK, people have distinctive facial features, (I can always tell if it's a Brit).

How does this happen?? You take two people, they fuck, they multiply and repeat the cycle, so the genes are pretty much the same all thruout the population.

You get two ugly people are put them on an island, 1000 years later. You'll see a shitload of nothing but ugly people on that island.

Same goes for bloodpressure and heart disease.

i also use the Benicar next to the highest dose, 110 over 70 was 155/90
on the juice I let my doctor know what i am doing he does not agree but he wants to keep me alive. He calls me Barry Bonds. Caution to the new guys and gals I never had high blood pressure befor now even when i am not on a cycle it doenst drop much. Something to think about. I will always have to use it now.

I had high blood pressure before using, and going on just makes it higher. High bp is really one of the proven side effects of using AAS, and should be dealt with.

Hey Putin, to answer your question: the effects kick in slowly and I got a noticable reduction in BP in just a matter of a few days. It peaked before the end of the 2nd week. On my first run he had me on the smaller tablet and it wasnt enough. Once i was on the larger tab, bp was down to normal levels.
