Thought id ask you as your uk based.

Bloodwork? As its free in the uk. How would go about asking the bloodwork to be done without telling the GP i do aas? (GP is a pretty cool guy).
What do the bloodwork tests tell you from the GP? Is it a full bw test that inc's liver function, lipid profiles, test levels,blood count etc or is just specific ones?

You just tell him that you want a full check up, which includes the above tests you mentioned and you also say that you want cholesterol and hormonal tests too (TSH, T3, T4, testosterone, FSH, LH, etc)

You are best off telling him what you are doing, if he has a problem change doctors. He will try to get you to stop but tell him you need to use them for competive reasons. Make sure to get a print out of bloodwork as some of these guys are dum as fuck when it comes to this stuff and can even over look the oveious. It willl give your reading then if you go across the page in brackets( ) will be normal range. Its best to go first thing in thr morning before breakfast to get a proper cholestrol reading.

Ok yes i was thinking id have to tell him, hes a good doctor and only young so i think he'll be ok with it. Thanks for the advice its appreciated.

im in the uk aswell. never had a full blood test bud got my blood pressure and cholesterol checked and i always get the 20 question whenever i do and get made to feel stupid for even asking cos im young. id prefer not to tell him i use cos id end up wasting another 20 mins listening to 'why not to do them'

Thats the reason i dont go to get bloodwork done but i think i need to.
My doc has been cool in the past hes a nice guy maybe you should switch docs?

im afraid thats my experience also in uk you just have to be lucky with finding an open minded doctor its less hassel to get private blood tests imo

Do you gets your done private, you must be worth a few quid. How much does that cost if you dont mind me asking.

Getting your blood work done is more important, who cares what he says. We cant see inside our bodys and I know correct bloods wont give us all the answers. However it gives us good indiaction to what is going on. If you live in the UK you can get your blood work done for free, one of the reasons we pay some much Tax. GPs can not disscuse your case with anyone else, how true this is would have to be questioned. However gear is legal for personal use in the UK so you will not be breaking any law by saying you use for personal use.
