I am thinking of doing another show next spring, so I would like to continue to make good offseason progress, but would this be possible if I incorporated some hitting on the heavybag once or twice a week? Im just curious if some bag work could be thrown in a couple times a week without overtraining (back/shoulders) and hindering gains. Obviously I realize I will have to work my diet according to this, but is there a time that is best to do it? post workout? off days? ANyone else incorporate bag work into their routines and still make good gains in the gym?
