Well more just bruised it to high heaven.
Took my kids to the swimming pool, put my foot on the first step, then...yooowwwzzzzerrr...my feet went over my head, and all my weight came crashing down as I fell and caught myself on the edge of the second step right on the pad of my thumb.
That was a week ago..haven't done much in the gym since, but went today for chest, and I couldn't even hold the 70lb dumbells to warm up for incline. I managed 3 reps before my thumb and the pad under it refused to bear the weight and I had to drop it.
To tell the truth, I wish it had just broke...damn breaks heal faster than the deep bruising, I guess I'll have to see how good the hammer strength equipment really is now, cause free weights are out of the question for a little while.
