Calf tear or strain??

So last night I was doing legs, and did the seated cal press, after two sets at 120 x 10 reps I got up, and noticed my left calf kinda hurting...stretched and went on my way. I was walking out of the gym and planted a certain way around a corner and I felt it again. So I stopped and looked down, I have bruising on my upper calf, right by pit of knee. It is swollen today and kinda hurts, tender to touch. Thoughts? I tried to walk last night and this AM, felt a little weird, like tightening up in that area and almost tingling. So I stopped....

Make an appt wt a doctor for next week. Prob a musculo-skeletal specialist, and get it checked IF it doesnt get significantly better by next mon. That way you have an appt and can cancel if you dont need. No one can tell you if its torn bc no one has x-ray vision. MRI will prob be required...

Try to RICE it (rest, ice, compress, elevate) use ibuprofen if there is inflammation
 
Yeah I should do that as well, Its bruising is odd. On the upper back and around to the side as well. Thanks
 
Well when I walk on it or put pressure on it I can feel like a spasm going on, down to foot back of calf as well. I am scared to stretch or or really do anything crazy. But, as of last night I looked down and now I have like a line across the calf and its like a red line under the skin, with some small speckles. Like when you scrape your skin across something but it doesn't tear the skin..like that...its weird....sore or tender to touch still, but can walk normal I tried to squat on my own at home to see what it would fee llike, and nothing, I wont add wait, just my body doing that motion. Got a doctor appt Monday...Odd thats all..never happened before and have always done heavy weight with proper pressing.

Give it the weekend,,ice,,treat,,heat,,ALEVE all those godd things then if not better see a doc ASAP.
