calves on leg press

When I do calves on leg press an i'm counting the stretch at the bottom... I feel the stretch in my hammies more than my calves. Also, i have to keep my knees at a pretty good bend our it just completely stretches my hams. Is it like that for some of you guys? Not sure if i need to just try out new foot positions or something, any advice? thanks
 
i lock my knees out
then and ONLY then can i feel my calves fully stretch, i also use a calf block to further stretch on
frk
 
just bec ur isolating calves doesnt mean u wont hit other groups, continue the isolatinion on the calves its good work...
 
i use the leg press machine which does not have enough weight so i have my partner ride the sled for added weight. it gives me a good stretch.
does anyone work the tibialis anterior (the front muscle)? i put a 45lb plate on my foot and a plate under my heal and raise the front of my foot up. its the only exercise that i have found that helps me more than just a full calve extension which helps the rear more.
