Hey guys,

I have been on a diet a made up for summer cutting, right now I'm sitting at around 14% 255lb, however I would like to be around 6-8% for beach season. Right now the macros are about 15% carbs/50% protein/35%fat. I have been doing this ratio for the past 3 weeks, and then on the weekends I up the carbs.

So my deal is that during the week when I have 15% carbs it hard for me to even function, I think about them all the time. I ran Duchaines keto diet once, worked really well, but I just dont like feeling like shit all the time, especially if I am not competing.

My question is, has anyone ever tried dieting where you cut carbs for a day, then load the next, and continue the trend every other day? or is it necessary when cutting carbs that you wait until the weekend to load.

I'm also thinking about scrapping these low carb diet plans, they work really well for me but I dont know if it is worth it. Has anyone cut fat with still using a decent amount of carbs, and what are the macros you used?

You are not having fun!! hahaahahha Of course you can lose fat, gain muscle at the same time!!!.....and up your carbs so you feel better!
 
yep, you sure can!!! Fuck carb depleting, never worked for me!! Lowest I go is 150-200 grams/day, I'll do this maybe a day or two in a row, and then have a carb re-feed day of 3-400 grams. My cheat meals are kept to a minimum, maybe 1 every couple wks. if i'm craving something sugary I'll eat some fruit with a meal, it helps me not crave junk. Also, why get weak as shit and lose all that hard earned muscle? Because thats exactly what low carbing will do after a week or so. Also, is it really worth it to walk around miserable all the time and drive your car carb fucking drunk? Not have any energy to even train good? Fuck all that bro, there are ways to do it and not feel so bad. Try what I do, go to like 150-200 grams for 2 days straight, then ramp back up every 3rd day. My training partner phrased it best for me once. This was the best advice anyone ever gave me. "You lift weight, you do cardio, you burn more energy than the average person right? So why the fuck would you eat less than the average person? "

forget all that shit, trust me, you'll beat yourself up thinking about it all day. My advice is to go 50-100 grams of protien more than you weigh, do your bodyweight in carbs, and stay low in healthy fats(probably 30-60 grams/day or so) try that man, just because you sound a lot like me, I go hypo easy. I've low carbed time and time again. Funny how you suffer more and work harder but look worse. But thats the real deal, sometimes its harder because its not right for you, everyone is different. if you wanna lower your carbs on a day or two, lower each portion you eat, but hell I eat carbs every meal besides the last one of the day, it gets me through the day easier and I feel better, but like I said its just my body but maybe it can work for you

Ya, definitely know what you're saying. I get all shaky and tired at the gym, my bench went from 425 max to 325 last time on Keto, so I went into a fucking depression spell...it sucks.

I'll take your advice and let you know how it goes, I'm not too worried because all the carbs I eat are clean.

hey man, just take it easy, do some cardio in the morning, pref. on an empty stomach, and do carb rotation, reload every 3-4 day depending on how u feel, have low and high carb days...then u will see...
 
Perhpas I am the lone star on this thread, however, 2-3 weeks into KETO diet, I felt freakin amazing, more energy, less bloat, felt tight. It takes some discipline, but well worth my efforts.

On the card up days, fruit never tasted sooo goood! It's know fact, at least in genearl that the 1st few weeks of Keto, you do have a dizzy spell, I still get it to this day when I go on this diet.

My .02 cents.

I'm getting confused

There are so many different aproaches in doing diets.. I'm almost afraid to try one and loose a ton of muscle.. We need a diet poll?
