I just came across the story from another board. If you read the whole thing it says the guys are ex-military from South Africa. Towards the end of the trip they run into a couple of guys that have a motorcycle club. Turns out they might have actually fought against each other during the civil war. Those guys have some crazy stories. It's pretty long but I would definitely suggest reading the whole story.
