Ok so here we are USA week. After thinking things over alot I decided that instead of coming in as a heavy weight I'm going to suck down into the Light Heavy weight class. This am I was 204lbs so I know I can get down to 198. I just hope that thursday night and friday morning will be enough time to really fill out. Worst case is I don't make weight and end up a super shredded small heavy weight or a flat light heavy at the top of the class. Either way I should be fine. I just figure my odds are better in the light heavies. Here is a pic of me from thursday weighing 206lbs. Going to be an interesting week for sure.

I am not sure that you will have enough time to fill back out without knowing your protocol! I really think you should stick to your game and let the weight be what it is. it is always these last minute changes we make in order to make some magic happen and it usually ends in tears! You are looking fanF#$kintastic right now. Bro I would run what your brung and stick to your guns. This is just my opinion and having been down this road more than once!! Your call, I think you would do well either way, but if it were me I would rather fill out properly and come in heavier! All the best Buffd

Man.....D you are going to be tough to deal with as a Lt Heavy. Your size is going to really make it hard for those guys to stand next to you. Here is my attempt at being a swami.....first call out Lt Heavies

Gerg Peoples is going to be a Lt Heavy from what I heard and he could be there too if someone comes in off and the same with Mark Perry but I have not heard that he is in or not yet.

Smart move...but honestly I think you would have been in the top 5 in either class. Can't wait to see the results.

In a sense I agree but with a Pro card at stakes I'm going to play the odds. Heavies are way stacked so I really think my chances are better as a Light heavy. Honestly I'm not doing anything drastic any way. All I'm doing is low carbs till my weight is where is should be. Won't be any crazy sodium drop or load or diuretics. I've had days where my carbs were 1500 and I filled out pretty good. I'm really not worried and very confident about this decision but I do appreciate your opinion and your input.
 
You'll be a force to be reckoned with in either class. I like to always remember that there is no sign over your head on stage to tell how much you weigh, it's all an illusion up there. my buddy just competed at the Southern States at well over 266, and lost his class to a guy who weighed 229. He looked just as big on stage, but his conditioning won it over.
Your condish is excellent man. Keep up the good work at good luck this weekend.

either way dude you look fucking awesome. good luck to you. remember though you need to be full AND shredded. dont be a flat light-heavy. last year at the north americans the heavyweight and overall weighed 202 and walked with a pro card. bring you best physique no matter what the weight is and dont psych yourself out over who is in what class because...........THEY HAVE TO DEAL WITH YOU, NOT YOU DEALING WITH THEM

Agreed. You have to be pretty damn confident, D, that nobody in this show is competing with your wheels. OK, so thats half the body now. Now all you gota do is hang in the upper and conditioning. Like Edge said....Fankhouser won at 202.....be the best YOU can be.......

I used to wrestle and worry about seeding in tournaments all the time. One day one of my coaches sat me down n said...."do you come here to place or to win this damn thing?' my reply...obviously to WIN. "well, then it doesnt matter where in the bracket you land, to win you have to beat EVERYONE anyway....so just bring it!"

No typo they were up to 1500g on some days. Thanks again for the input. I still had a bit of fat to drop any way on my glutes so in order for me to be totally peeled I'll probably end up right about 198 any way. I'm really not worried about filling out. I got all night thursday and all day friday to do it.

Not a typo..1500 grams of carbs barely gets me filled out...1800g and I filled out good...

I agree here, I have in the past ate 2000gms of carbs over a twelve hour period. No probs and does fill you out really well. Many guys think high carbs is 200 gms. Hell on a high carb day that wouldn't even fill in one meal!! But for contest carb up after a depletion you must pound down some barbs or you just will not fill out and you need at least two days to do it! High carbs both days!!
