cheap TENS unit for knee pain

Read an Instagram post this morning about using a TENS unit for promoting pain/injury recovery and I had a cheap $20 unit in my room I've never used so I whipped it out and put it on my knee for 30 minutes before coming to the gym for legs

My knee had been hurting everytime I came into the gym the past couple months

I'm in here now after using the TENS unit on it earlier today and the knee feels smooth like butter
 
Whats causing your knees to hurt?
Maybe stop doing that
TENS unit helps but doesnt address the problem at its core
 
Actually if you smoke a ton of weed and just get ripped you probably won’t feel the pain either lol
 
Tried one for my lower back problems. Mine was purchased through my orthopedist with insurance. It was a last ditch effort before one of many surgeries. Believe mine was $100 with insurance, so who knows what it really costs, but it didn’t work for me. Hopefully it works for you though!

Slightly off topic but look up the tens unit drinking challenges on YouTube. You’ll laugh your ass off at some of them.
 
I’ve used them successfully for impinged nerves and muscular issues….but I don’t know that they would be as helpful for tendon or ligament issues
 
What causes my knees to hurt? Well, two things..

(1) training quads

(2) not training quads

Any exercises that dont hurt?
 

I got this cheap bastard..was on sale for $15 when I got it a couple of years ago..love it, and is it often..I turn off the timer sometimes and just let it rip while I sleep if I really messed myself up

This one doesn't seem to hurt as bad when I do then with my face towards the back rest

Honestly Id post up a video of you doing a few quad exercises from a typical workout.
If anyone can help with your form its the guys on this board.
 
Slapped the TENS unit on my bicep last night while watching baseball... I've had an injury near the elbow for the past 8 months or so that has prevented me from doing curls and even many back exercises... hopefully these TENS workouts will stimulate repair in the region..

I was pretty close to being maxed out here at the time

 
Keep reps high, form tight and don’t worry about how much your lifting. If high rep squat bug your knees stick to movements that don’t
 
A knee sleeve works for many. I used to wrap mine when going heavy.
 
Ya I would think because the set is short and sweet but doing more long term damage

I'm staying away from stuff that aggravates it for now while I focus on training for sport
