do you suggest any good reads or articles on the subject? I pretty much know the basics but even with a coach I, coming from a professional background would like to learn more if anything just to look for a coach with a similar mindset.

Like most have said, Shelby, John or Matt. I have never worked with John, but know he is an amazing guy with a ton of knowledge. I have worked with Shelby and Matt Porter and both were also GREAT!
There is a lot of good coaches out there, but you need to find the one you click with best. The best way to do this with out hiring them all is to send them off a few emails and see how well they answer your questions and how quick they respond to you.
I will say this, Shelby must not have much of a life and just sit in front of his computer all day as he answers the emails just about as soon as I hit send! lol

Realistically, and this is purely out of curiosity, do you think that an online coach is enough for a prep? Would never actually been seen face to face limit how much could be achieved? I assume check ins via pics/videos are the means used to monitor progress but is there not a point where it becomes difficult to get the message across? Like I say this aint a negative post as I would personally jump at the opportunity to be coached by the likes of JM, I'm just wondering about how much can be achieved 'remotely'?

The information is all over. I should probably change my first post though. The reason for that is for many a coach is the best possible thing. Why do something wrong if you can have someone guide you with relevant experience and bring you in looking at your best. Even if you don't come in as you want you learn stuff on the way and that will make you a better competitor in the long run. For many it will be the best decision they made and take away any guess work. Although I do think a lot of coaches online are just a waste of money unless you are complete idiot.

I would look into Dr Scott Stevenson and John Meadows.
