As you can see he normally competes a a middleweight or light heavy but in the video link posted above he's a super heavyweight, lol. You can kind of see how he's carrying a bit of it in his midsection

That's the most ridiculous stat or set of stats I've ever seen when you consider the decades and insane size jump.

I agree about his stomach but damn to see his condition and to see over the years the changes in weight class is amazing, those videos in 2003 and 2004 show his real competitive weight but damn that is something to see a middle in SHW.

Aside from his horribly distended stomach, his muscle density and conditioning look great for any age but if he's been competing since '81, he's no spring chicken....Well done...Sort of. In the 2004 video he looks incredible. Seriously, I would never know that this was the same person from the first video.

Regardless of my personal opinion on his look I am truly inspired by his commitment. 28 years...I haven't even been breathing that long.

this dude is very famous in the arab world... he starred in a lot of movies and almost everyone knows him.
the jump in weight is not something new... i've talked about this before... how arabs want to go down to the lightest weight class possible, while americans shoot for being at the SHW class no matter what...
this guy already had the mass, the gut, and everything else years ago... he didn't just jump from MW to SHW in a couple of months and magically gained muscle. he has been competing for more than 28 years (his first contest wasn't the worlds... he competed in the a lot of other contests before that)... the guy doesn't have the best of structure or insertion points and he knows it... that's why he competes as a middle 95% of the time. he can get out of middles and into any other weight class if he wanted to... but since he dominated that class, he doesn't want to move out of it. I believe he competed in the SHW last year cuz the middles were tough and he wasn't getting any younger.

that's what arabs do... you can find someone getting ready for a contest and he weighs 250 lbs at 12% fat, then competes at 3% fat but weighing 198 lbs because that's the weight class he knows fits best... that's why most arabs don't move up in weight classes 90% of the time... they know they look the best in a certain weight class, so why change it.

i have to defend him.. no one ruins their physique by adding size.. what does it it is the distension in the abs.. that can be avoided.. he actually has a bit of distension as a middle weight as well.. but is able to hide it better.. i can say he was one of the most impressive/shocking guys i have seen at the last years worlds.. awesome in terms of size at his height..

i had pics of him 8 weeks out in the gym (ill see if i can find them) and he was absolutely huge with little distension at all.. but buselmo is right, he is actually a huge guy and diets down to the middles most of the time.. but he is also comfortable in the supers as well.. the guy is very short and took second in a very competitive class at the worlds.. he is one of the thickest guys around and is not exactly young.. and still gaining!!

I think it's personal perference, I'm one of the guys that think Ronnie looked way better in the ealier years of his oylpmia's. It's not just the gut.
Not saying it isn't impressive that he can carry that much muscle.
