Nothing wrong with being 50+I am 36 years old but when I read this post I realize that my body is probably 50+![]()
I have found this to be certainly true for legs, but not so much for upper body. This is probably highly variable per individual however.no argument about it. the body absolutely starts to diminnish in size after time regardless of drugs or training routines.
I've been a scientist for 30 years. Remember all the testing done by WADA and OIC etc? That's a big part of what they test for, the metabolites. I don't know your background but this is known metabolism. These things have to be modified so they can be removed. Such as hydroxylation, sulfation, glucuronylation etc. The liver, kidneys and other tissues do these modifications so the steroids can be excreted through the bile and urine.Where are you getting this info? I’ve never heard any of this before tbh
Iv noticed that my legs will not grow like they did when I was younger and the strength went w it.I have found this to be certainly true for legs, but not so much for upper body. This is probably highly variable per individual however.
I think while this is variable in extent it is the rule rather than the exception. From what I understand fast-twitch fibers in the legs go first with age.Iv noticed that my legs will not grow like they did when I was younger and the strength went w it.
i get it brother and u r def an example of what u can hold on to as we age. but just saying we all know yeah legs go then midsection starts to expand in alot of guys.... just saying father time wins. and in this context of this op post let it go. no need to bulk. yikes.I have found this to be certainly true for legs, but not so much for upper body. This is probably highly variable per individual however.
Agree. As we age our bodies will not allow us to stay big and strong. Think how hard it would be on our hearts to even function at the capacity it did when we were in our 20’s-40’s. To me, our bodies getting smaller is nature‘s way of keeping us alive longer. We all can certainly be fit in our later years by not being overweight, staying active and eating healthy. Just definitely hard mentally when you notice things just aren’t working the same. Simple example would be my father who walks 18 holes of golf at the age of 77. He’s also always messing around in the yard. That’s what I’ll be shooting for minus the golf.It is just Age, and decades of stress from gear. Our Bodies have to take a beating from all the food, gear, hard lifting, all the stress from work, family, etc. We dance with the devil, and eventually he just will collect his due, it is what it is.
We just can't stay huge until we are 90. We can stay in great shape, but being a jacked, very lean 250 lbs and getting over 80 is just not in the cards for us Humans.
I’m the same way!!! My joints won’t allow the heavy weight and 20 minutes for me to get warmed up too.You also need to consider the genetics of the person. I am 6-1 and naturally ectomorphic with longer limbs. More of a "torso" build with wide clavicles vs. a "limb" build with thicker joints.
I have friends in their 50's that still walk in and lay down on the bench and do 135 for 5, 225 for 5, 315 for 5, 365 for 5. I hurt just thinking about that. Shit it takes me 20 minutes to get warmed up and 4-5 feeder sets to get to the first set I count as a work set.
As you age, your joints aren't as forgiving and you need to find what work for you to keep the joints intact.
