Cortisone and Steroids

Do you think cortisone shots should be available to players that are injured, if they could not be able to play without it? If so why?

Also, is it fair or morally right to do so. Players are constantly getting in trouble for steroids, so is playing with a cortisone shot more of an advantage, like performance inhancing drugs!

They have a lot of benefits to training by increasing performance as well as healing injuries. Are they banned year round in most sports?

Corticosteroids are banned by the IOC just the same as AAS. If metabolites are detected in your urine, and you do not have a valid medical reason to be taking them, youre suspended.

i may b wrong here, but how come schilling got to take them when he was on the mound??? i dont understand the way our sports governing bodies make these damn laws
