Creatine + Caffein is SUPPOSED to not work right?

Aight i usually dont fall into bs but a friend of mine told me the new NOexplode supplement works really well. Simplified... its a creatine supplement that uses NO as the delivery agent instead of an insulin spike cuased by simple sugars (like cell tech does). Its loaded with argenine, etc. . . BUT it also has caffein. Isnt caffein supposed to negate the effects of creatine and do the opposite? (creatine draws water into the muscles to help hydrate and increase ATP synthesis, while caffein is a diuretic)

Now this is NOT a placebo effect. I went into this shit TOTALLY believing this is complete bullshit knowing the relation of creatine to caffein. I started my first workout, ok, i had a lot of energy (caffein in effect) no biggie, still thinkin this shit is utter bullshit. Strength went up, figured it was just the energy boost or a good day or sumthin of a fluke. Now its been 4 weeks, iv been off juice for 5, and my strength is still goin UP! This shit gives kickass energy and pumps every workout as long as i take it on an empty stomach. Thats just the background on this, heres my question. . .

Can somebody please explain how this is working if caffein is supposed to counteract creatine, iv seen lots of studies supportin this. Heres a link to the supp. and ingredients if it matters. . . http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/bsn/xplode.html

Hey. I remember when all of the caffeine and creatine thing started and people avoided caffeine like the plauge while they were on creatine. The study that everyone was referring to was with cyclists, who sometimes use caffeine to promote more fat in the blood (energy) and if creatine would be synergystic with it. What they found though was that caffeine would inhibit creatine absorbtion, although I forget the actual number it was a significant amount. What people dont remember is that the dose use was 500mg of caffeine, about the same as 5 cups of coffee, taken at the exact same time as creatine. I dont think that taking a bit of caffeine, like maybe 50mg from a diet soda, with your creatine is going to make a huge deal in creatine absorbtion.

I dont like the fact that caffeine is a vasoconstrictor, when you are trying to load the blood, then muscles, with protein and creatine, but I think that the dose is probably pretty low and the vasoconstriction is probably negated by the vasodialation caused by the increase in nitric oxide (NO) from the argine.

Just an idea, but maybe combining the argine/nitric oxide and creatine system with a sugar and protein mix (which is proven to increase creatine absorbtion better than either alone) might make the creatine even more effective. If you are dieting, then you probably dont want the increased sugar, but it might be worth a try sometime.

But with the arganine boosting nitric oxide and increasing vasodialation, would u still need the insulin spike from the simple sugars? Isnt the NO boost what is accounting for the increased uptake of the creatine rather than the insulin levels? Would it be more beneficial to have both, or would one effect the other?
 
The increased nitric oxide will facilitate the movement of creatine in to the cells, and insulin basically forces it in to cells. I dont know if one or the other is better, but it was just an idea that they might also work well together. I really dont know though.
