critique the diet

I am just starting another bulking diet, but this time it is a clean bulking diet.....so tell me how this sounds and give some pointers if you can...

#1 Blended shake

1/4 c. oats
2 scoops opt. whey
1 C. Milk
1 banana
3 tbls. flax

#2
8 oz ground beef
1 large potato

#3
Vander special
1 1/2 cup Apple juice
1 can Tuna

#4 - pre workout
1 can Tuna
1 large potato

#5 right after workout
2 scoops opt whey

#6 hour after workout
Chicken breast or steak
Brown rice

#7
Vander special

#8 middle of night (if i can)
2 scoops Opt Whey
 
Hey Hutch,
this is very close to my diet right now, I have been using it since starting my cycle two weeks ago, seems to be working quite nicely.....
Somethings I might change......
-depending on your size, I would have two cans of tuna each time you have it listed, instead of one. I would try to get at least 50 grams of protein with each meal....
-After your workout, you listed only 2 scoops of whey, add in some carbs--dextrose and/or maltodextrin to replenish glycogen and aid in recovery.
-Also, add in more healthy fats later on in the day, such as olive oil or more flax--these are a good way to get in extra clean cals while bulking up.....

Looks good man ,, the only thing i see wrong is you need to add carbs immediatly after your workout, even when dieting i preffer Vitargo by Nutrex.

I am smaller than most on this board, at least weight wise....I am 5-8 180....GOOD GOD 6 cans of tuna a day!!!!!!! My wife already complains enough of the smell of tuna all over the house...LOL....I just started my 2nd cycle today so when all the hunger kicks in ill add more tuna....this diet is pretty easy for me to eat right now...

Ok I am going to sound like a total amatuer for asking this, but i have seen the dextrose/maltodextrin thing before, and now i want to know what the hell it is...ahhhhh there i asked.....the Thing with the post workout meal is that it has to be real quick since i workout in between clients at the gym......i would usually get in a baked potato right afterwards also.....my workout schedule is changing next week to where i will have plenty of time to eat afterwards so please give me a good post workout meal.....thanks.....here is a pic of me just so everyone understands my body type and maybe that will help with suggestions also.....Thanks man...

Vitargo by Nutrex is a good product, i liked it when i used it

i'd ditch the Vander special though... i havent grown the balls to try that yet.. my MRPs taste too yummy to drink that shiz :eek: :)
 
example post-workout nutrition
--40-60 grams whey isolate
50/50 blend malto/dextrose or (vitargo)
5-10 gr creatine
5-10 gr glutamine

1 hr later
50-60 grams protein from lean meat
50-100 grams carb from yams, br. rice, or oatmeal

I like to take in most of the days carbs around my workout, before and after, before to provide energy and after to aid in recovery and replenish glycogen.
I personally also keep fat to a minimum a few hours after training due to increased insulin levels in the body from dextrose\malto in order to keep fat gain at minimum...
Hope this helps some, it is pretty basic, but works.....

On a side note, 6 cans a tuna a day is child's play, I like 8-12(just hope the whole mercury poison thing is not true, otherwise I might be in trouble:p )
 
POST WORKOUT

Vitargo right after workout 2 scoops.

Protein should be comsumed 1hr after training.

Why consume protein 1 hour after training instead of right away? Then what type do you consume and how much? Thanks.

Your body at this point only needs to replenish itself with FAST DIGESTING CARBS ,,,, LIKE


cold cereal, sodas, Gatorade, or a potatoe which is basically Vitargo.

Protein can wait 1hr after the fast digesting carbs are settled and have done there job.
