do i have NO metabolism?

Not sure about 5-8 pounds lighter, but generally it is less in the morning. I am consistently in the 2-3 difference between my weight at night and my morning weight. But eveybody is different.
 
yeah mine is 5-8 pounds different usually as well, it water weight obviously. I wake up in the middle of the night and piss and then like a race horse when i wake up as well.
 
you just aren't sweating, or pissing or shitting. Only way to be lighter on wakeup is to do one or all three of the above while you are sleeping.

Why even care about the scale and its fluctuations? :confused:

The mirror is what matters... if somehow you're looking leaner when you get up and seeing improvments everyday, then you're doing something right. And it doesn't necesseraly shows on the scale... :)

Keep in mind it's not so much about losing weight but rather looking better (adding some muscle while shedding fat may keep your weight the same).

i always thought, that when your metabolism is reved up...you usually wake up 5-8lbs ligher....especially true late in contest mode?

In body building the scale is usually the body builders devil! We get so preoccupied by how much we weigh and tend to forget how we should look!

So many guys aim for weight divisions and fuck up amazing physiques to come down to a weight division. I have seen it here and in gyms countless times. I have never concerned my self with weight come show time. it is what it is when I get there. As long as I show up in peak condition then I have done what I needed to do. I do not stress over weight, but how much muscle is lost in the process. If more of you would do this, placings at shows would be higher and you would not shrink going into your shows. If you don't like what you see then get another opinion.

oldfella, what do you think about guys like me that drop a pound over night and freak the hell out because all were trying to do is put on weight, frankly i dont care how i look(to some extent) because i dont feel like im big enough to compete. lol besides getting into another sport got any advice? or is this a dumb question?
