Do you believe in Somatotypes? (Ectomorph, Endomorph, Mesomorph)

What are your guys's thoughts?

I never liked this 3 limited categories/labels for billions of different physiologies.

Growing up I was a sickly thin kind; always the smallest, and thinnest out of everyone in my group. I also put on excess BF a few times trying to grow too quickly when I started bodybuilding. And I can put on more BF with a bad diet right now as well :) (with the holy grail called GH  )

So not as cut and dry in my case at least...

P.S- The fact that a psychologist created this categories in the 40s also gives it credence

every time I hear those terms I picture mythical creatures from Lord of the Rings. Not sure why.

They are 100% fact; somatotype decribe bone structure not 'body type,' its suppose to be quantitative stat rather than a qualitative think things like wrist size and hip to shoulder ratio not if youre a hard-gainer or not, their is also no pure soma ie your a mix of ecto/meso rather than purely meso 9 out of 10 times.

Well what are the measurements or ratios for each then? I have never seen any hard numbers given.

For most it's really 5 or 6. That's often reduced to the standard three-model. I prefer seven.

Some people are born this way, some that. Art isn't just a state, but a true genius is a biological-entity. Not a Homo. So now, Art makes genes. They've been doing it for some time now. By now, a few people are really born this way. One of a kind.
