This is interesting...I tend to use 400-600mg ibuprofen before many of my workouts to hold off the many joint aches I've developed over the years. I'm not really sure that it even helps but I tend to do it anyway just in case...I've wondered many times if this were such a good idea.
I only take Ibuprofen for headaches... Sometimes I take them befoire workouts if I have a headache, and the headache will hinder my abilityt o work out fully.
I can't say that it has helped with other pains and aches.
