doggs missing

our family pets are missing. this morning i let them out to do their bussiness while i was warming up the car. when they finish they usually come back to the door or i holler and they come running. well i forgot about them being out and went and took our daughter to school. when i came back i had a funny feeling and went inside to check on them . nope not there. i ask my wife did she have them? nope. damn i left them outside for an hour. they have run off seperately before for about 30-45 min but always come back. we check the whole neighborhood for 3 hours and nothing. even had 3 neighbors and the garbage men looking. that was 8am this mornining and still have no clue to where they are. i kinda think some one might have snatch them. they was shih tzu,s and very pretty and smart. have had them for about 4 years.
wife is very sadd. kinda like having children. tonite we are posting flyers and checking the pound. the police filed a report for us.
any thing else you guys can think of that we could do please tell me.

is there any society specialized to catch dogs where you live ?

also you should contact the closest veterinary from where you live mate

i feel for you, i have a 8 years old rottweiler and love him like crazy

Danm thats devestating news ,,, Im saying a prayer right now ,, i really hope you find them bro .. also try posting in the news paper make a rerward sometimes assholes out there just need the dogs for money 500 dollar reward is good ,, good luck bro and post flyers with a reward as well .

I lost my dog for a few hrs before, about 14 to be exact. They'll turn up somewhere man. We'll all say a pray and it will be alright!

man i pray that you find your dogs. my mom has two shih tzu's and she had them while i still lived at home so i am pretty close to them. they are some cute little fur balls man, hopefully they had tags on and someone will call you guys saying they got em.

I have 2 small dogs and no fence. What I did was Tie a large line from the back of my house, to my shed, then put 2 20ft long leashes on the line. That way my dogs can go out, run around, pee, poop, chase animals, and I never have to worry about them running away, or getting attacked. My brother and I had to kick the crap out of some huge dog attacking my little guys one time, I love animals but dont mess with my kids.

i have 2 english bulldogs that like to wonder...what i guess happened is they walked off and just got lost...someone picked them up not knowing who they belong too....it is up too you do avertise the hell out of your area...laundry mats,grocery stores,drug stores, gas stations and news paper...most ppl want to find the owner...

did they have tags ?
dogs can get very very lost in snow and cold weather...was the weather good ?

puts signs up ay every stop sign ands stop light..make up signs to stick in ground and on signs and light post....

Bigbaldbulldog gave you a lot of good tips. I have been a dogue breeder for several years and am lucky i never lost a dogue.
There are a lot of crooks out there who snatch dogs and look for rewards.
I know it is tough but just keep doing all you can and most of the time they show up.
Try posting in your local pet stores also and vet offices. Call your humane society also to see if they were picked up or dropped off.

I went through this

My wife took my dog to a friends where she got out. This was several miles frim our home. Several days went by. We were up looking in the area each morniong and night. We put up flyers in convenience stores vet clinics practically every business in the area. then we got a call sying they had seen my dog early in the morning in near some location for 2 days in a row.
Next morning my wife was deperate because I was crushed by this went to the location 5am. she walk the streets calling her and after a few minutes she heard the toenails clicking behind her. And there she was, we found her after 5 days.

never give up...they need you there like kids...don't quit...they'll show up just advertise the shit out of your area...call vets within your area and see if they were brought in...put signs up everywhere...hang in their

hey bro i feel your pain,i have two shih-tzus.they are like little kids,and act like it too.along with checking with your local vets and shelters,put up flyers offering a large reward for the dogs.put four $$$$ on the flyers that way people think your willing to pays at least a 1000.00 for them.so if they did get snatched for a reward they will jump at the chance to make quick cash.if they have your dogs,you arrange a meeting get your dogs and kick them dead in their ass and send them on their way

Be patient-THey turn up most of the time. Some dog wandered up to my house once and it took a couple of days to find the owner. Personally my dog stays at our house with no fence of any kind. It took a little training but now she won't go to strangers and stays home.

they are back

sorry guys i did not get back on oine this weekend. friday at about 430am my wife heard some barking at the door. she said she thought she ws dreaming and really didnot want to get up and go downstairs. she open the front door and nothing. so she went to the back door and open it and look down and guess what? they was there! a miracle! both wagging their tales and wanting luv.. she hoolerd upstairs to me and let them in. they came running up and jump into the bed. they have never been outside all nite before so this ws a new adventure. they was not dirty or look like they had been in the woods. behind us is a farm with woods, hills and a big pond but the boys showed no signs of wear? i wonder if they got shut up chasing something into some ones garage as the door came down and trapp them inside for the day? it does puzzle me. well unless they learn to tlk we will never know. just glad they are back. thanks guys for all the prayers and hopes, and help.
now i am out of the dog house and they can get back in it.
