Drinking Red wine during dieting

I know that red wine has many health benefits, like anti-oxidants as well as a lot of other anti-aging benefits... But I was wondering if any of you drank it while dieting... I know that it's very low in carbs, but the calories come from the alcohol and the body processes alcohol before fat, carbs and protein... So it slows down the fat burning process... Still I've noticed that the morning after I drink red wine, I look a lot sharper and my abs seem to be deeper... The problem I have with it though is that it increases cravings, especially for fatty foods like nuts and cheese... Does anyone here drink wine while dieting, if so how much and if not, when do you stop?

I think it was Kevin Levrone who back in the days used to drink some red wine the day before a show to get super dry!

My girlfriends dad told me that he used to drink a glass of red wine every day or two with dinner, said it helped his vascularity immensely

when i was a young college kid i could drink everyday and maintain a decent physique but now i'm in my mid 30s and booze calories go right to the fat cells around my kidney area lol.

yeah I've heard Levrone and Arnold both liked a shot of whiskey in their black coffee to dry out who knows with so many rumors anyone can say anything and someone will believe it

Not only red wine, but certian beer's have basically the same nutritional profile as wines. I just took a class on it with the brewmaster from Yards Brewery I gotta check my notes at home but I believe russian imperial porters and stouts were the ones along with certain farmhouse saisons brewed with Sorachi Hops.
