Drug Test...

I just took a drug test for a new job and when signing the chain of custody form I noticed on the list of things tested for - anabolic steroids
I almost shit my pants. I didn't take anything from 2003 until in january when I was ready to start a new cycle I started taking anavar. I ended up changing my mind about the timing of the cycle and stopped 25 10mg anavars in. Does anyone have any idea about the way they read these tests and if this will show? thanks I know the test is already done but maybe some words will give me some comfort.

anavar half life is 8 hours. Just curious - what kind of job is this? Is it sports related?

Steroids are pretty expensive to test for... don't worry about it, you're safe

i cant see what employer would benefit from having extensive steroid testing performed

Dont be fooled. They have found a way to test for the metablites in the urine. I know of someone who recently tested + for EQ after being off of it for several months and doing the different cleansers out there. Anavar does have a short half life, but it is possible to test + for it if you have taken it a few days prior to taking the test. Best of luck

I haven't taken a pill since the begining of january and yes i was told they are testing for aas. It's a gc/ms test. The job is in a refinery that produces fuels for military aircraft like the stealth.

you will test clean if ANAVAR is all that was used.

I am in the same boat and have been off Tren Ace for at least 2 months. I think it will be three before the test but at least 2 full months. Any comments on how I will fare ? The company has sent me a form that says they test for Anabolic Steroids. Once you are in they only test if they supect a drug problem...Ie no random tests and it is a large pharma cutical company.

I am also interested in this as well. If they can only test for metabolites and not levels through urine does that mean that a test only cycle would be undetectable through urine? Anyone know where i can learn or have any more info as it relates to a urine test for steroids?

no that is not what it means...if you're taking something when you get tested itll show up if they're willing to pay the money for the tests (i.e. the NCAA)

First they normally test your testosterone to epitestosterone ratios I believe it's 4:1 now rather than the 6:1 previously. If you show above that they will test for metabolites in your urine using GC/MS. Now Testosterone is not detected per se', but your test/epitest ratio will burn you, however, if they truly wanted to nail you, then you could find the esters in a blood test and that would confirm an enanthate, prop, cypionate or what have you ester. As far as everything else goes, metabolites of say winstrol or Oral Turinabol in your urine will easily be detected in standard AAS test. The most basic test for a steroid panel test runs between 2 and 300 dollars. Not that expensive for most companies that are willing to test for AAS.
