how do estrogen levels affect sex drive and/or erections?
i have heard that too low or too high can cause ED?

I know too low can decrease sex drive and i think and hope that is happening to me now b/c i recently upped my dose of aifm and my libido dropped. if its not that then it means my test e i recently switched to is bad.

easiest way to think about it is that testosterone is the primary sex hormone for both men and women. provided this is regulated you'll want to hop on the good foot and do the bad thing.

if your estro is too high it knocks out the balance of test making your female sex hormones higher and less sexually charged.

if your estro is too low, although it could hamper your sex drive, it would more do the opposite where you would want it more.

on the side of ED, high estro levels mean it will take longer to get an erection if you actually get one at all, and can even cause penile shrinkage. (but is of course reversible). but it wont cause too many problems if its low as the test will be the dominant hormone.

Gridlock nailed it, I can always feel it 'emotionally' too if my Estrogen gets to high on cycle kinda kills my workouts a lil bit and im alot more distracted in general. Totally agree about the AI's mabey some guys dont need em, but really if you are not sure you are one of those people then having an AI around is a great idea.

Seems everyone responds differently to high Estrogen.

For me running 750mg test/week I need around .5 mg adex/ed to keep my E in check. When my E gets too high I still have a sex drive but have a very difficult time getting a good erection. I tried using adex at .25mg/eod but was just not enough. Soon as I get my E back to normal range then I am good to go and no more erection issues.

I personally feel much better when I am not carrying tons of water and my E is normal/low.

Damn, the soreness after injecting I don't think is worth it. And maybe it's just me, but I used the highest recommended dosage of this stuff and it only gave me a semi hardon, but it stayed. I stacked it with viagra and levitra before to give it more oomph. I don't inject anymore for fear of building up too much scar tissue from it's usage and then really not be able to get it up.

You might either be really sensitive to AIs or you don't aromatize much test to estrogen. You probably won't ever know which but I am the same way. I have to use really small doses of adex for my HRT. Getting it off balance, even a little bit, messes everything up real quick. No libido, moody, etc.

Try using nolvadex instead if you're just afraid of gyno. The other benefit to running an AI during your cycle is that it helps recovery post cycle.

nobodies mentioned proviron....it solves a lot of the estrogen probem, increases libido and gives you a harder erection (at least for me it does)
