Metformin isn’t much more effective than Acarbose, if at all. Can simply take more Acarbose to balance it out.
The lifespan extension was in mice and in very controlled settings in three separate sets of mice. Sure it may not end up translating into humans but Metformin failed to extend lifespan in the same controlled environment in mice, and Metformin significantly reduces the health benefits of exercise.
How do they measure life extension?
Whether it’s mice or a human there’s no way to measure life extension.
There are things that happen in the body that happen as we age but they are a by product not the reason.
