but how does one actually go about doing this?
 
in the case of a pro im thinking less or no slin.. its seems to intensify growth gut as well a add visceral fat which gives them that pregnant with a 6pack look
 
is it even possible to refine your waistline? or is it just an illusion? i have yet to have my stomach/waist lights out..
 
Wearing a weight belt tight during your workouts I've heard works for bringing the waist down.

i was just talking about this on another board whether it had anything to do with it or not. i havent been wearing a belt for over 2 years now. very rarely.
 
best example I can think of right now is dennis james. Look at his ig boy pics compared to now. His abs still look strange but he looks hell of alot better imo

How would a belt help with the waist?

i dont think it would... i'm thinking its a drug thing. look how the physiques have changed over time. some of these guys today look ridiculous. i'd swear they have a baby in there... i know gh causes organ growth and i think(im not sure) insulin causes an increase of visceral fat. both of these together would pop that stomach out. i'm sure the large amount of food these guys eat causes some distention but back in the day they ate big too and those giant guts were gone by showtime. so i will say its the drugs
 
I dont think it has anything to do with drugs. I have been trying to bring my waist in for the pat year. What I did was stop bulking and made getting my waist smaller my main goal. I have been able to reduce my waist and still gain good bit of muscle. Makes me think do we really need as many Kcal to build muscle as we think.

Agreed...eating is pure pleasure once we exceed the needed amount of calories to grow muscle. Do I eat for pleasure sometimes, well of course I do, but that is an offseason thing. I just need to eat enough of the right stuff to grow, not too little, but not mega eating like some do! But, damn food taste so damn good:D

well i dont abuse gh/slin, and i dont abuse food either. but my question wasnt what causes your waist to get bigger, the question was how to you go about making it smaller or tighter? especially if its NOT from excessive food or drugs.
 
Theres only so much you can bring down your waist, if youre at
6-8% bodyfat and you still have a 34 inch waist (measurement below
the belly button) then that is a matter of the size of your pelvis.
 
what about squatting heavy and deadlifting.....i think both these movements would add to having a wider waist....
 
Well

A number of things contribute genetically to the illusion of a small waist.....hip width, oblique size, abdominal cavity musculature.........just do not do stuff to ADD to the problem.........do stuff to diminish the problem..........sound like John Madden? hahahahahahah
