Exemestane and the Liver

I have been looking into any potential effects that exemestane might have on liver values and have come up short on info.

Mainly all I can find is that if you are obtaining scripted exemestane you are of course supposed to tell your Dr. about any liver and or kidney problems.

I was just wondering if anyone could shed any light on this issue. Also I am unaware of whether or not there is a difference if using research chem exemestane might be more or less damaging to the liver of a lab rat.

I had a blood test a month ago, then another one today. I'll post results when I get them, but I can tell you I feel fucking great with R's at 12.5mg ed. It took around a week to really kick in, but everything just feels spectacular.

Starting values:
Free test: 752
AST: 62
ALT: 52

Let me know what others you want to see a comparison of.

I may be wrong on this but the AST values you listed are above the high range and the ALT are within normal, but on the higher side correct?

Well, not my lifts so much, but I'm cutting right now anyhow. I just feel euphoric like when I'm on, but not to the same degree. Sometimes I laugh just because I'm happy for no particular reason. More confidence, etc. All the signs of upper natural high test. Maybe some body recomp going on, but nothing really dramatic past what I'd expect from what I'm doing otherwise. It's going to be hard to go off if all the levels look good though.

Yeah, AST slightly out of range, not really sure why.

My lab rat has been on exemestane for 5 months now. Just had blood tested and Dr. said liver functions are all in the normal range. I don't have the report in front of me but will post specific #s as soon as I do.

Your dosing @ 12.5mg per day? for How long? Have you done 25mg?

For one month, and no, haven't bothered with 25mg. The studies show a low dependence on dose for response, so I think if this produces the expected results (I'm hoping for free test ~1000 or so), my next step would actually be to go to 12.5mg eod.

kinda wrong to look at liver values on aromasin unless you are taking orals or other things,,

nevermind, its good that you are monitoring liver values BUT

monitor hdl/ldl and estrogen levels on top of that,,,anti-e's will mess with lipid profile more so than liver values

Very good point, I just was not sure if there were any liver concerns on top of the obvious hdl/ldl problems that come with anti-e's.

From what I remember, exemestane is less harsh on the lipid profiles compared to other anti-e's. Could be wrong on this though.

The studies on exemestane haven't shown any appreciable effects anywhere, lipids, liver, whatever - outside of what's directly affected by aromatase. I've done full blood panels, but I don't want to bother typing them out. I'll just note any big differences, I guess.

They said the results weren't in yet, btw.

yah def get a lipid test on the aromasin. Its been said it has zero effect on the lipids which makes it the golden anti-e but im curious to see actual bloodwork

as for the alt/ast, its normal to be slightly elevated if your an athlete/bodybuilder. Those levels are still very low.

Haha, yeah, I meant total test. Free test at 752 would be like mainlining test suspension.

Test results got in this afternoon:

Test: 752 -> 1049
Lipids not really changed, HDL stayed around 55, LDL around 90
AST dropped to 40, ALT stayed around 50.

It really doesn't seem to have done much but kick up my test. Free test and estrogen was going to cost lost of extra $, so I didn't get those, but I assume they're going in the right directions.
