Faber gets title shot. Brown gets it in the ass.

How the FUUUUUCK does Urijah Faber get the title shot against Jose Aldo after last night's fights?

Urijah Faber is 2/2 or 3/5 in his last fights. He's only fought Assuncao, Brown, and Jens Pulver. His only wins are over Pulver and Assuncao and was beaten by Brown TWIIIIIIIIIICE. TWIIIIIIIIICE. Pulver is almost irrelevant as a fighter. That, and It took Urijah to the third round to beat Assuncao last night.

Brown? Finished his fight QUICK last night. His only loss is to the current champ, Aldo. Aside from that ONE loss, he hasn't lost a fight since Dec. 2005. He beat Faber twice. His only other CAREER loses are to 155lbers Lauzon and Sudo!!!

Can anybody even begin to justify this?

Faber is the WEC `s Golden boy. He is a good talker and good for there interviews and tv time... A Bit more flashy and more exciting to watch then Brown. I didnt get to see last nights fights but I seen Brown whoop him both times.

Big Dave. I have to agree with you in most aspects with brown not getting a title shot. To be quite honest---I would like to see a brown a faber fight again. As for faber getting a "title shot"---i dont think he deserves one until he fights brown one more time. Faber is good for the WEC and thats why he is a crowd favorite. Look at Liddell---he was one of my favorites but he is past his time now. He still brings in alot of money when he is on the card. Its business and businesses are in business to make more money!! Thats why I believe they gave faber a shot vs. brown.

gets it just like Chuck always getting things in the UFC as stated in an earlier post. Don't get me wrong I like Chuck as much as the next guy.

Anyhow it doesn't really matter Faber is going to lose to Aldo. Aldo is going to stay the champ for a while they should just do another Faber vs. Brown neither can beat Aldo. Aldo is a class above the competitition like Silva at 185...

Alot of fighters get side lined, if you will. Just the nature

Agreed about Chuck... BUT...

The last time Chuck had the belt, he lost it and never fought for it again. He got good fights, but he didn't get an undeserved title shot. He never even got a shot.

Urijah? Headline him. Give him good guys. But a title? No way.

There are plenty of guys I'd pay to see fight all the time, but many don't deserve a title shot. A Wandy, Tito, Jardine, etc... they're all great. Title shot? Nope.

Money is one thing, but Mike Brown being a boring guy shouldn't screw him over in a legit sport. This isn't the WWF (I'm not calling it the fucking WWE because when I watched it when i was 10, it was the WWF!)

seems to me the logical progression would be to have the 2 winners from last night's fight ( faber/brown) face each other for the shot at the belt. btw could you guys please not indicate the winner in the title of your thread? i worked last night and haven't watched the tape yet. thanks.

The loss to aldo knocked brown back down the ladder. Urijah lost to brown because of underestimation, he lost the second time because of TWO broken hands that he had to have surgically repaired and he still ground out a 5 round championship fight. Assuncao was very close to a shot himself and faber finishing a jiu jitsu blackbelt with an RNC is pretty darn impressive in my book. brown will get the winner of faber and aldo.

You wanna talk injustice, how about Marquardt, who knocked out Maia, getting sonnen, who got tapped by maia. Marquardt got screwed out of a rematch with silva again.
