People were doing drugs long before kratom came around and will continue. That is just the nature of some people. The oxy and heroin market is not being driven by a herb. If someone wants to get buzzed or wasted they will. Hence the reason for marijuana being decriminalized.

Well fast food and sugar is responsible for way more deaths then Krarom. Should we make that illegal? How about nicotine, alcohol, sugar, gambling, porn and everything someone can get addicted to. Clearly something like Keaton shouldn't be used daily. Also it has a better safety record then anything else I listed. Your welcome to your opinion but this is my view on it.

I did a ton of kratom everyday and the withdrawals weren't shit when I had no more.....a lot of that is crying by ex-heroin addicts, the withdrawal from kratom aint shit!

In all seriousness Kratom should not be banned (perhaps regulated in some way). However it should not be used lightly. I know guys who used heavy doses and had a nightmare coming off. As others have stated for many it's replacing one drug with another. Kratom is definitely the lesser of 2 evils though. However you will notice even the guys who are not past drug addicts when they started kratom (let's say 2 years ago for some) they are now on 10x the dose so it's obviously highly addictive and they need more to get by. I remember reading most guys using a few grams and now everyone is on 20g+

Now for the recreational user I say just be careful and use it a few times per week at most and have breaks from it every few months. I never really got in to it myself. I have used different strains but a lot of them made me feel high and trust me I have taken lot's of party drugs in the past. I remember using too much preworkout (white vein and very early on) and there was no way I could train after using it.

During prohibition a fair amount of people died from consuming bad alcohol. How often does that happen now? The same thing goes on with drugs when are are declared illegal. I'm not saying drugs are safe, but overdose rates are lower in countries that have legalized and/or decriminalized drugs. If heroin we're deemed legal tomorrow how many clean people would line up to get some? I don't know of anyone. At least give them an opportunity to get a clean product and clean needles.

Prohibition doesn't work. Losing my brother last year made that very apparent.

So it isn't exactly just how dangerous it is. It also factors medical use

Doesn't make sense that marijuana is lumped into schedule one. It is deemed ok for medical use in some states at least and cant really kill someone by overdose in one sitting. Cocaine on the other hand could kill someone if they take too much in one night, especially if they shoot it up. Crazy way to classify those 2 drugs IMO.
