First Pinning - Help

Took the first pin!!! Asside from my nerves being through the roof right now, I think it went just fine. not really painfull at all. breaking the skin gives a little pinch but that's about all. Very over-rated!

Couple of Q's though:

1) could not get all the little air bubbles out but I pinned anyway. I hope that's cool

2) Seemed like it just didn't want to draw out the Test, test sort of dripped into the syringe; not like I would have expected. had to pull back about 1.5 cc's to get .75 worth of gear. Yes I did inject my .75 of air into the vial??

3) My flip top lid does not want to go back on securely. Is this normal?

I'm feeling very edgy and have a little dry mouth and racing heart beat but I think it's really just my nerves getting the better of me.

You should be fine

I draw with a 22ga, and have used a 20 ga in the past. If your using anything smaller it takes forever.

What dose were you trying to inject? If your gear is dosed at 250 mg/ml and you shot 3/4 of a cc then you got 188 mg of test.

If you mean the metal cover that protects the rubber seal, it's not suppose to go back on. Take it all the way off and toss it

Thanks dude. That makes me feel better. I only have single inject disposable syringe/needle combo's from CVS so I'm drawing and pinning with the same. 23G/1".

It's 300mg and I'm looking for 225mg so .75 should do it although I may have been a wee bit on the light side of that.

Learning experience. Leg is getting a little sore now.....15 minutes later. Maybe I spoke too soon about the "no pain" -LOL

well you should go to www.sterilesyringes.com and get some syringes with removable pins. Your sticking a dull needle in you ass and that wont help, and will lead to more pain and increase the possibilty of infection IMO.

Syringes and needles are cheap!

Also IMO, 1.5 23 ga is better than 1 inch.

As stated already, I would discourage any reuse of any needles. They are labeled for one time use for a reason. It does not take much to dull them up. It just is not worth the pain. They are crazy cheap.

1" is good for Quads, but not for gluts. Always go with 1.5"

Draw with 20g or 18g, then switch tips.

Thanks guys. Just to clarify, I was pinning the quad not glute; hence the 1".

Can you clarify the metal cover thing? I have a blue plastic lid that will not go back on to protect the rubber from the air. Is it supposed to work like that? That plastic should go back on, shouldn't it?

I think every newbie complains of this so I'm not worried. I feel like Mike Tyson punched me in the quad!

There is NO swelling. No redness or anything like that. I would assume that when you sink a piece of metal deep into your muscle tissue, it's reasonable to expect a bit of pain the next day so I'm not worried.

Also I'm still freaked out about that blue plastic top not going back on securely so any comments on that would be huge!

the blue plastic top won't go back on if its a vial that youre using, you break it to get it off.

just keep the vial in a clean place, like maybe a secure container, and wipe it with one of your alcohol swabs each time before you draw your test.

stay clean bro and don't re-use your pins, its not worth all the hassle if you get an infection.

I draw with a 18 gauge, I have no patience!! make sure to take omega 3 fish oil, and a liver protectant like liv 52 works probably the best.

Take a big deep breath buddy. It will all be good.
You will be sore, & don't be surprised if tomorrow is a little worse than today. Massage the application site, take a hot epsom-salts bath and ONLY if necessary then take some ibuprofen. I don't like NSAID's because they can interfere with muscular gains.

Thanks. I just went out on line and ordered some 20g and some 23g with separate 5mm syringes (smallest ones these guys had) Getpinz. Sorry to not buy from a sponsor but I couldn't find one that sold the pins and bac water and vials which I need.

Pinning with a dull needle that already penetrated the rubber is probably just making the pain worse than it needs to be.
