Ok well prejudging is over and done with and I gotta say I'm about as frustrated at this sport as I can possibly be right now. Now I'm not saying I should of won the class. I'm by far not the biggest heavyweight in the world either (maybe the smallest in the class)BUT I'll be 8th at best here and there is just no way. NOW if Sam Zona does NOT win this class then this sport is really down the tubes. He was ripped and looked awesome. But the rest that he was compared to and those called ahead of him were um less than spectacular. Grigori Attoyan had a gut, was pale and looked at least 4 weeks out, Dave Pucenella or however you spell it was just ripped but his physique I'm sorry is horrible. Small legs and the biggest gut in possibly the whole show. Another guy in the top 5 was soft with a gut. So much for the new criteria. Again I don't think I deserved to win. Maybe 8th is where I belong but not because the others were better. Sam was for sure but not the rest. Hell I'm gonna beat a few guys that I thought should of beaten me. I just don't get it anymore. On the plus side Muscle Mag wants to do a shoot with me so we'll see what happens there.

I told Sam every week that you were the one he had to worry about. I will have to see pics but I cant believe you got 8th. I think your physique is awesome. We did a few things different as far as training and cardio goes this time for Sam and I am glad it worked out for him in your opinion.

Thanks Phil. That means alot to me. I got to talk to Sam a bit. Very cool guy. It will really be a bs call if he doesn't win. He was like the 3rd called out. No clue why. He wasn't missing a thing. I don't know what it was with me. Again I'm not the biggest but my shape and conditioning I figured would of carried me. Guess not. But then again there were at least 2 very well conditioned and bigger guys that will place below me so that really makes no sense. Well time for me to grow and figure out what I want to do next. Guess I'll take 12g of gear this year LOL. Just kidding.

Keep your head up BuffD! You've improved a tremendous amount since last year and although it may not make you feel better now, hopefully down the road thats what will count in your heart.

Personally, your physique is my ideal for the most part. You've inspired quite a few of us on here and for that I thank you.

With you the answer is simple....your conditioning you have nailed, your not missing any bodyparts, you just have to get a little bigger....which just takes time. You will get there. It was nice meeting you.

I was actually called out 4th. They did move us around a bit, but I dont know. I have never seen a guy called 4th win the class. Really dont know what they are looking for from me we'll see what happens tonight, trying to stay positive.

It was great meeting you too bro. If you don't win (a travesty I must say) then I'm very sorry cuz you deserve it. I don't agree with Dave being called out. His physique is suppose to be the OPPOSITE of what they are looking for. I know I need more size. But after looking at the comparison pics I think I compare well and beat everyone in my line up and other than you and Grigori (still he was soft) I think I beat the others on most poses. I'll be back in another show and come hell or high water I'll be ALOT bigger. Just don't want to sacrafice my stomach or waist to do it. Cya tonight and man I'm pulling for ya big time.

Well im sure you both did well, as for what there looking for well that depends on what judges are there , take for example the USA's I felt almost all the placings went extremely well and were fair, Id have to see the photos and the lineup but my guess is theres something these other guys had that may have out done you guys by a hair, stay positive you never really know wtf will happen in BBing .

Thanks Buff....we'll see if not well its # 11 come and gone for me. Not sure where to go from here....every aspect of my training/diet/approach was revamped this year. I am still holding out hope though.

Ok dude on far left has a decent build still not what Id want outta a physique but decent.

guy in the middles calves are as big as his head hes got great legs but not conditioned, his back is AWEFUL lol did u see his back lat spread hahaha pathetic and his upper looks nothing like a good match for his lower but hell still get 1st lol.

other 2 guys look somewhat average nothing to special and that Pulcinella guys gut is enormous.

Sam you look to dark in my opinion and your midsection looks wider/exteneded like some of those fellas.

BuffD your arms and chest lack and i think thats what stuck out the most even overpoewering your condition, also Sams right you do need more size as well i agree with him on that. also your MM needs work.

In my Opinion Sam should get 3rd if he gets 4th or 5th its BS.

AS for BuffD Id say 7th would have been fair , I do beleive Mark Ep guy looked a tad better in my opinion and could have placed 5th but i think Mark will get 7th cause that black dude in your fleet Buffd was tuff as well hes maybe got as lock on 6th .

guys the both of you looked great,just remember there seem to be a lot of npc and ifbb judges that surf these boards dont slam them you just may be infront of them in the near future.now as for me i can talk,what the hell are these judges looking for these days?seems like its not conditioning Sam u have the enitre package when i look at your pics,what do the judges say that you need to improve on?

Erik's calves...

I know Erik very well. We trained at the same gym for a-while and I competed against him 2 years ago. This kid is a class act...just an all around good guy!
He signed a contract with Animal last year and he's on his way. This was his first national show. His calves actually measure 23"...and that's no joke. First calves that I've seen that rival Mattarazo's. This is the tough to swallow part...he rarely trains them. He had to actually stop because they were getting to big and throwing off the rest of his physique.
He still needs to work on bringing up his chest and back, but definitely a freak and one to watch coming up.
