im a little pissed off today, so ill give you guys a piece of my mind (since im sitting behind a computer monitor)

anyways, i just bought a new car about 2 months ago. finally was able to get myself a nice ride, i got a black lincoln ls.. i love this car, nothing special but i really like it..

well today i come out of work for lunch and i noticed someone backed into the fucking back of my car and decided to just drive off!!! fuckiing asswads, how dare they!!! now its going to cost me 500$ or so to fix my new car that i just paid the freaking sales tax on!!!!

thanks for the vent, i feel much better.. until i have to write that check!! haha

It should really be a "shot on site" kind of offence, sort of like Florida's "Stand your Ground" law. If you see someone hit a car then flee, you're allowed to shoot to stop them.

If it makes you feel any better my G/F backed into somebody and took off. She called me. I told her if she didn't go back I would call the cops and turn her in. The guy ended up being cool and we settled w/o insurance companies. Still with the girl too. So there are some people out there who aren't total assholes!

I had a TT also. I loved that car, but the funny this is that in 2002, when I got it, it was cool because it had 225 HP and a 6 speed manual. By the time my lease was up last fall the "standard" for sportscars became 300 + HP.

Mike - enjoy that car bro! It handles amazingly with the quattro and if you swap the Continental ContiSport's for some better tires you will be able to take corners at over 100 MPH!

I hit this guy a few weeks ago, gave him my info told him get a price, i will pay no problem. Anyways gets his mechanic to look at it, says 1000$ i send it to mine he says not a bad price, call him leave a message, leave another message. He never calls me back, i stop calling must of lost my number, not complaining, but it was a nice thing...

i bought a brand new f-250 about a year ago. two days later my cousin and i are driving to the ski resort and a douchbag makes a right hand turn(more like swerve) from the far left lane right into the side of it. i guess they were looking for a shop and when he saw it he didnt check for traffic and just turned. destroyed the left side. it ended up being like 4500 dollars damage which he paid for. but it still pisses me off cause now i own a truck that has been wrecked

Very enfuriating, I know. This might make you feel better. My g/f had gone into a strip mall to pick out mother's day cards, and of course I just said "I'll wait here in the truck". It was my most recent Jeep (I get a new one every year). I decided to recline and "rest my eyes" when I hear and feel this 'thump' on my car. Here the guy outside my passenger side had slammed his car door right into my truck. Worse, he was scrambling to hurry up and get away. I hopped out of the Jeep wearing a tank and honesty I telepathically heard this guys mind say "Hol... eee... shit!" - he may even have mouthed the words.

His shaking hands and heavy breathing were enough. The dent was repaired and is not even noticable. I'm happy I didn't put a dent in the side of his head.

Sorry to hear about your car. Messing with a guy's car is like messing with his girl. You just don't do it.

Accidents are unintentional - that's why we call them accidents!

But, it is inexcusable for someone to be on a cell phone, painting their naiils, reading a newspaper, etc. while driving. That's just dangerous to everyone on the road! It's all about responsibility and judgement. Plus, we all do stupid things from time to time - the right action is to leave your info (if insurance applies), or pay the person you damaged. I think it's just wrong to damage some else's property and split.

Also, sometimes people do things out of spite. I have a friend who is a Corvette fanatic. He has a 2006 that is nearly all custom and he races it and shows it - hardly ever just drives the car. It's gorgeous and I'm not even a Vette fan. Well, last week he drove it to Starbucks, parked waaaayyy off in the far corner away from any other cars and ran inside for a coffee. He comes back and someone keyed the entire hood. What's wrong with people?

That SUCKS buddy. I got a dinger in my pickup door recently - just bad enough to put in a "crease" where the body is rounded.

I got rear-ended in an Audi by as asshat that was dialing a number on his cell phone. Wife still has a bad neck from that accident that was over 6 years ago.

I've been doing a LOT of body wok on my pickup recently. Shaved everything (welded 12 places over), fixed all the dings and am in the process of shaving the taillights and putting in '92 Cadillac DeVille taillights. Won't be able to paint it until Oct - gotta work on the house while the sun's shining.

wouldnt you know it.. im heading home tonight from the gym and some young girl, prolly 17 or so rear ends me!!!!!! i cant win man, i just got my estimate done today for the first damage, 475$!!!

now i have a new crease on my bumper.. its not horrible, but im obviously picky about my car because i was going to get the first damage fixed..

ill prolly just let her off of it, and just buy a whole new damb bumper!!! geez, i swear...
