I don't know how many of you on this site are big readers, but I never really have been. I would definately like to start though. I feel like I waste a lot of time screwing around(checkin up on the boards among other things) and I think finding a good book or two would be a better way to spend some of this spare time I have lately. I am not looking for anything fiction telling stories or anything like that, but does anyone have any good book suggestions on things such as self-improvement, religion, or how to make more money (investing) or just anything that some of you may have read that you thought was interesting and even helpful in life?

read Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom and I promise you won't be sorry

I have 21 bodybuilding Ebooks, I don't mind sharing bro just drop me a PM, I can send you any or all.

Like Building The Perfect Beast....thats the only 1 i have...

Books

Im a big fan of Paul Borreson's books. Interesting although extreme theories. I really like his book "The Stack." I also like ALR's "Building the Perfect Beast" and "Chemical Muscular Enhancement." And just for historical purposes I like to flip through Dan Duchaines old manuals.

REI Books....

as far a other books go, I read alot of real estate investment books. I have found the information very profitable if applied. I have spend thousands on home study courses and seminars but I got my money back many times over in profit from the strategies I learned. My interest in Real Estate all started when I read the book "How to be a Quick Turn real estate millionaire" by Ron LeGrand. It cost about 15 bucks and it completely changed my life plan. I have since invested in Ron LeGrands Cash Flow Systems Home Study Course, along with the home study courses of several of his students such as Chuck Smith (who has a free downloadable Ebook called "From Cop to CEO" decribing his system...just google it), and Kris Kirshner. Most of these courses cost thousands but can be found on Ebay rather easy for pennies on the dollar.

Think and grow rich by Napoleon Hill

Storm of Steel - Ernst Junger

they were good but getting almost impossible to find,,,at least Pauls books anyway.

90 minutes in heaven and we only kill our friends sorry i dont know the authors name of the top of my head but i didnt put these books down till i was almost done i literally read all day...

Sidhartha - Herman Hesse, the greatest book about patience ever
Jonny Tapia's autobiography, craiziest guy ever
One Flew Over the Cookoo's Nest - Ken Keesey, the movie doesn't hold a candle
The Book of Lists - Purely for the fun of it
Pimp- Iceberg Slim, true story about a real pimp and how he manipulated his hoes; interesting from a psychological standpoint for me

My next book will be Jesse Ventura's autobiography, unless someone tells it sucks. Or maybe Randy Couture's book. If your thinking of reading "The Secret", do yourself a favor, don't. Biggest bunch of hoarse shit I've ever read, and I only made 50 pages in.

Borresen's stuff was interesting to read because of his blatant disregard for his own health and well-being in the course of his experiments. Aside from that, his work product was full of junk science, unfounded speculation, and out and out false information.

I remember an old piece by Paul B. on the Nuclear Nutrition forum where he alleged that its a fact that megadosing facilitates ''receptor upgrading''...shit like that convinced newbies to gamble with their health under the auspices of ''science''. Not cool, IMO.

Reading any self-help book is sort of like sticking knitting needles in your ball bag...its just something nobody should ever do for any reason.
