After an excellent off-season but lack luster contest showing this past summer, I finally have teamed up with someone I feel will help me to achieve the type of size, and eventually condition, that I need to excel... I was always impressed by Shelby's comments on both this and other boards. His comments were always positive, and when critiquing physiques, he offered honest opinions.
I am in the third week now of Shelby's off-season program he designed for me. My concern with previous diets I have used were that I never felt like I ate enough food. NOT a problem this time around, getting all this food into my face is a workout in itself. My progress so far has been the most dramatic increase in a short period of time (with the exception of the post contest rebound) that I have ever experienced. My bodyweight has soared, almost 13lbs in a less that 3 weeks, while my bodyfat has not risen any appreciable amount. NOTE: Yes naysayers, I know it's not possible to put on 13lbs of muscle in 2 weeks, it's water weight too, but that water helps the joints, makes me stronger, and assists in lean muscle gains as well....
Anyhow, the point of the post was not really to kiss some Troponin Ass, but really just to show that this whole game we play takes time, trial and error, but eventually you find the right formula that works for you.... I'm happy to have Shelby in my corner and look forward to my best off-season ever!
300, here I come!!!!
