Last April it was a year since I lost my Dad, He passed at 83 years of age. He was diagnosed at 65-67 years of ago (cant remember the exact time). He did not have his removed and monitored instead. He had a stroke in April '23 then another in April '24 which took his life. At the time of his death the cancer had metastised, although the cancer did not get him I think it was going to start causing some problems sooner rather than later, however that is nearing 20 odd years since diagnosis.
A collegue I used to work with was diagnosed last year, believe he was 69 years old. He opted to have brachytherapy, his PSA is now 0.01
When a loved one gets cancer its frightning, I wish you and your family well. Its always a reminder how fragile life is and to spend as much time as we can with our loved ones as we never know what is around the corner.
