GYNO & INSURANCE COVERAGE

JUST WANTED TO SEE IF ANYONE MIGHT HAVE SOME TIPS ON HOW TO GET GYNO SURGERY COVERED BY HEALTH INSURANCE??? I WAS GOING TO VISIT MY PRIMARY PHYSICIAN AND GET A REFERRAL. THEN PRESENT THE PROBLEM TO MY INSURANCE COMPANY. I HAVE HEARD TO SAY THAT IT'S VERY PAINFUL AND HAVE HAD SINCE PUBERTY WILL HELP. ANY INFO WILL HELP BROS. THANKS....BIG C

I don't know about getting it covered by your insurance company, but make sure you do some research on the guy you're referred to. Personally, I'd just save the 5g's and pay some plastic surgeon that's done 100s of these operations before.

My doc tried getting it through and they said no go. They consider it cosmetic.

WELL I SPOKE TO THE INSURANCE COMPANY AND THEY DO COVER THE SURGERY, BUT IT HAS TO BE PRE CERTIFIED. SO I GUESS JUST HAVE TO FIND A SURGEON THAT CAN CONVINCE THEM THAT THERE IS A DEFINTIE MEDICAL REASON.

best excuse to use is that male breast cancer runs in your family. It then becomes a medical not cosmetic issue.
