GYNO SURGERY

Blau went overboard with the lipo in my case causing unevenness and some indentation around left chest and lower abs unevenness and excess loose skin. I went back t revision to him he made worse and statements when I told him my concerns and showe dhim a year later and his response was " this isn't micro surgery"

NO shit Dr Blau its not. That's why the lipo you performed shouldn't have came out with poor results.

People PLEASE take heed..oh how i wish these posts had been around back when i needed them...but their here for you..you've been forewarned !

Guys, go with Dr. Maffei, there is no one better or priced as good. Trust me and about 20 people I sent his way.

If anyone is looking for a quality surgeon in NW FL let me know. Not for liposuction, just gland removal. Although he performs his surgeries in the top plastic surgery center in the area his expertise is as an internal surgeon. He does a lot of breast cancer work. I was already low body fat and didn't need lipo, but I'm sure it could have been arranged. You can't tell I've had anything done. I can barely see a faint scar under each nipple but nobody else has ever noticed. I can't believe how much some guys paid in this thread.

Can anybody tell me what its like the day of surgery. My son has his first football game that night, and if there is any way of going I would love to. The schedule of the surgery was the best date I could get, but if I could go to his game it would be a plus.

You can get around easy.... you'll just be out of it and sleepy all day after you go home and nap. Pain isn't really an issue..

With Dr. Maffie it is all local anesthesia .... no drugs, no feeling out of it... You will be completely numbed up and okay to go to your sons game... When the local anesthesia wears off you will have some pain 4 to 5 on a scale from 1-10 for the first day or 2... more just soreness. Again you will be fine to go to your sons game

Is there anybody that can tell me if there is something I can take to speed up the healing process. My surgery is going to involve lipo as well as gland removal. Doc is saying 3 weeks before going to back to light cardio. 6 weeks out until I can go back to complete normal lifting. If I could speed that up it would be great.

Also, I know everybody heals at different rates. So what are the milestones the doc looks for before releasing you to full activity.

Here are the notes I made leading up to surgery, its chopped up but you can figure it out. My Dr said he has never EVER seen someone heal as fast as I did and hes been doing this for ages. BTW I was back in the gym after 6 days, started doing chest I think around 2.5-3 weeks.

been doing weeks and weeks of research and narrowed the list of pre/post surgery supplements for decreased healing time and decreasing bruising and inflammation as follows:

** (super popular) Bromelain and Quercetin -- start 3 days pre surgery 3 times a day, empty stomach before meals then keep taking it a few weeks after. Apparently on an empty stomach helps with inflammation, when you take Bromelain with food it helps with digestion so 2 different applications for it.

** (seems to be the most popular) Arnica Montana (homeopathic) 30x - start the night before surgery or morning of then up to 2 weeks post. Dissolve under tongue. I actually bought the little vials but the learned of a more potent/popular one called SinEcch which are 1M strength (2000x) and super popular on all the surgery forums. I also bought the Arnica Montana cream that is only applied once incisions have healed/closed up.

Zinc picolinate - start 50mg 2 weeks prior to surgery

B6 - post surgery
Vitamin A (Retinyl Palmitate) - pre and post surgery

L-glutamine - will be taking probably 30-50gms a day post surgery, I already started too add some to my Intra workout.

Taurine and Arginine are supposed to help too.

- Recently bought some Knox gelatin - or hydro-collagen should be good too

Supps to take both pre and post surgery that help:

B-complex
Vitamin C
CoQ10 - (I take Ubiquinol)
milk thistle
Probiotics

I am still taking my Vitamin K which actually helps with clotting though no one really mentions it online as a surgery healing supplement. Still taking my multi-vitamin but that is it unfortunately.

I wish BPC-157 had a whole body healing effect but being that I have some left over not open in the fridge and been pushing my shoulders hard lately I will start hitting up my left rotator, who knows, cant hurt.

No GH because I don't touch that stuff otherwise I would be allover it for healing.

I wonder if BPC would help. It's supposed to prevent scar tissue formation

Thanks for the information. I should be able to pick most of this stuff up.

Are you saying HGH would help? Because I have some I could use? If you are what dosage would you take? And what about the water/fluid retention?

No idea on GH I'm sure a few iu a day would suffice.

I dabbled with it for a few weeks in 1998 and I didn't like it at all I got carpal tunnel, the pumps were unreal in the gym I could hardly workout and I definitely got a case of stomach distention and I was only taking four ius per day for a few weeks. Fast forward to a few years back I figured after one of my shoulder surgeries I would try it again and literally I stopped after a few days as the same shit happen all over again so I guess I'm hypersensitive and I think someone had mentioned that maybe I have some sort of increased number of igf-1 receptors in the abdomen area. Not sure but I'll never touch that shit again.
