I recieved my results today from blood work I done last week. I am VERY new to understanding the results. But forturnate enough the summary of the results shows what is out of range and etc.
Results:
Heart Blood Tests
CHOLESTEROL, TOTAL
Reference Range 125-200 139 mg/dL
HDL CHOLESTEROL
Reference Range > OR = 40 15 mg/dL
TRIGLYCERIDES
Reference Range <150 71 mg/dL
LDL-CHOLESTEROL
Reference Range <130 110 mg/dL (calc)
CHOL/HDLC RATIO
Reference Range < OR = 5.0 9.3 (calc)
Pancreas Blood Tests
GLUCOSE
Reference Range 65-99 84 mg/dL
My HDL levels are out of range and so is my CHOL/HDLC RATIO. What could be reasonings behind this?
I am running a higher fat diet this time, but fats are a few whole eggs, EVOO, walnuts/almonds. Protien is pretty high and carbs are moderate.
Woudl cardio help bring my HDL back to satisfaction or is this something to be concerned about?
